To be honest, I believe it's a possibility because he's able to read the shape-shifters' minds, and technically they are indeed part animal. Of course, it could be merely because they are half human, too, which gives them a 더 많이 advanced way of thinking. However, it hasn't been proven that 동물 don't have some ability fo form thoughts. We, ourselves, don't posess any sort of abilities that lets us read their minds, so we ourselves don't really know. Of course, it hasn't been disproven either, so I suppose in summary, the answer we would be best going with is merely a possibility of him being able to really do it.
I don't think so. 동물 don't really have distinct thoughts. they have instincts, but probably not individual thoughts and especially not in human language.

I would have to agree with 당신 because I believe that was pointed out some in the text. Plus, he can only read the "shape-shifters" minds because they are just that..shape-shifters
There is no fifth book. If 당신 are referring to Midnight Sun, there are only eleven 또는 twelve chapters available to be read because it was leaked, and it is yet to be published.
good question. not to sure, maybe??? he can read werewolf minds and they're tecnicly animals, so maybe if an animal had a distict enough thought it would be possible. ???
Definately not. this 질문 has been asked multiple times on Stephenie Meyer's 팬 site. They can read 늑대인간 minds (but that is only because 늑대인간 are not really animals. They are half human shape-shifters). He can only read very distinct thoughts. That is why he can only hear people's thoughts from a certain distance. The person's thoughts have to be very clear for him to hear them. 동물 don't have advanced enough minds to think that clearly(and even if they did, I highly doubt they speak human)

that is so wrong because what about chimps and other mammles they would have pretty distinc thoughts
Haha! I have always wondered this too. I have no idea. I remember Alice saying she could only see the futures of humans, because she had been one, and vampires, because she is one. But that couldn't apply to Edward, because he can read the shape shifters. But I guess they are half human...so..I have no idea! That would be sad if he could because he would hear what they are thinking =P
