Does anyone else think that edward was a much better person in the books?

I agree. Edward's character seems to get the short end of the stick in the movies. I think it was the change in director that really made Jacobs charactor steal the spot light. If Twilight had been directed in 더 많이 of a fashion to highlight the characters personalities rather than all the drama going on, than Edward may not have 로스트 so many fans. Let's face it the Twilight movie makes Edward seem like a manic-depressive drama 퀸 compared to the one we have fallen in 사랑 with in the books. Although I have always been 더 많이 partial to Jacob, I think Edwards got gyped in the film franchise.

the screenwriter, Melissa Rosenburg's, 가장 좋아하는 character is Jacob. I don't know if that is why she is 글쓰기 Edward like that, but I do agree that Edward is a different person in the books. I don't think he's an idiot. I will say this though... Jacob is exactly the same. Annoying, immature, etc.

It's hard to sum up Edward's character in a 2 시간 movie, let alone a saga. 영화 are very hard to portray the characters' traits, especially when adapted from novels. The characters in 영화 aren't as built and complex as in the books. We can't really do anything about it.

And what really pisses me off is people switch teams because of the 영화 또는 the appeal of the actors. 당신 fell in 사랑 with the 책 right? 당신 fell in 사랑 with Edward's character in the books? If 당신 hate his character in the movies, then don't watch the movies. 당신 know the 영화 will be different, so why watch it if 당신 know you'll be irritated with it. Not trying to preach... I'm just saying.

Well i think that Edward is fantastic in the movie and in the books.And if 당신 are team Jacob then dont say that Edward is dumb!!!He is a very deep person with a lot of feelings and he has to go through a lot in his life!!!

Before I saw the movie Twilight I read all the books, including what there is available of the fifth book. And for the 책 I am team Edward. But I also 사랑 사랑 사랑 Jacob. I would have been fine if Bella ended up with Jacob, but 더 많이 of me wanted her to be with Edward.
When it comes to the movies, I like to see Bella and Jacob together 더 많이 than I enjoy seeing Bella with Edward. Because in the movies... I really just don't 'get' Edward. He is nothing like Edward is described in the 책 AND Rob delivers lines wierd and acts wierd. To me anyways.
I like Taylors 연기 very very much, and Kristen did a much better job in New Moon than she did in Twilight.
The only time I saw 연기 from Rob was in the scene where he is 키싱 Bella after the b-day party and he seems to start breathing all crazy because 키싱 Bella too much is too hard to do.
So to sum this up, I am mostly team Edward because of the books. :D

"he seems like an idiot in the movies" lMFAO. IA,especially in New Moon,he looks like and old grandfather and he`s looking very ..tired .. and.. strange.
But yes,the want to make him darker in the movies... which is stupid.

I don't really care because I like both Edward and Jake. They have their own appeal and 'quirks' and they are both likable in their own special way.
Moreover I don't really like to compare the 책 with the films. Edward may be different in the 영화 but I don't care. I've got other problems. :D
