OK who else also gets the feeling that edward doesnt use his mind 읽기 abilities hardly ever in the movie ? Does anyone kind of think they forgot it abit?
well, they talked about it. In the restaurant scene. Also, when they are at the police station, after Carlisle said "Animal attack", Edward looks like he is 읽기 into Carlisle's mind. I don't think they forgot about it, it's just hard to portray that on-screen.

I know they didnt totally forget it , but it could of been used 더 많이 to emphasise his ability because as we all know it becomes a BIG part between jacob and edward when there fighting for bella's 사랑
also in the baseball scene, when carlisle tells edward that laurent james and victoria are coming. but they mention much 더 많이 in the book and i think that they should of mentioned it a bit more.

yeah i mean 당신 see it in the cafeteria with jessica talking , but there was alot of communication between alice and edward that was unspoken in the book i mean i know granted that is hard to portray but the mystery was always there and the fact that alice had to say " ive seen it happen" when bella had been bitten she could of just thought it i mean i suppose its hard to put EVERYTHING in the movie but i thought that that particular thing is kinda major to have reoccuring.
i thought they used it alot...like in the cafeteria, when mike asked bella to prom, when they were in the restaurant, when bella almost got attacked, when they were in the baseball field and james showed up, when they were leading the tracker away from bella...so yea i thought they did good...and yes it is hard to portray that on film, but i knew every time he was 읽기 someones mind...
i see how different his mind 읽기 powers are from the book than the movie. in the book edward is almost constantly using his mind 읽기 powers but in the movie he like never uses them. so i c what u mean!
당신 bring up a good & valid point. However, I do think they did try to portray Edwards mind 읽기 abilities - especially noticeable in facial exchanges between him & Alice in Eclipse. Edwards ability has always been less obvious as Alice usually verbalises each time she see's a vision whereas Edward doesn't verbalise every single thought he is hearing cos it would probably be rather fanatic 또는 somewhat boring!
However, because 당신 brought it up.
BREAKING DAWN MOVIES: I'm thinking maybe they could do like a voice over background so people can hear his thoughts as he is assimilating what is going on around him. Do 당신 understand what I mean? Soap Opera's do it all the time, when a character is 백일몽 for example; they'll have the actor/ress simply stand on the spot looking dreamy & whimsical whilst a voice over is verbalising what they're 백일몽 about.
I think something like that MIGHT work for the mind/talk exchanges that goes on between Jake & Ed. However in the movie, they allude that Jacob can read Edwards mind. But in the book - Jake laments that he wishes he could read Edwards mind but he can't! But when Bella is dying during the pregnancy he's glad he can't read Ed's mind cos Edward looks so tortured like a man who is "dying". So a slight variation there. I can live with it!! lol
Considering much of the book is Jake internalizing his thoughts in 늑대 form, its gonna be difficult for those who've never read the 책 to understand the plot unless they somehow verbalize what is being thought etc ... and the continuous flow of conversations going on in "mind talk" between the wolves, the pivotal discussions between Jake & Leah in their 늑대 forms, Sam's Alpha commands has a particular 'shrill' to it - what does that sound like? I'd 사랑 the hear what Edward hears in Seth's thoughts that makes him the 'most kindest creature' he'd ever had the joy of hearing. So much stuff that goes on with their lips ever moving ... so they'll have to do something that'll make the movie cognitive & cohesive! :-)
