If Jacob Black is not a "real" werewolf why does he imprint on Renesmee?

I don't think that the "real werewolves" imprint. It's probably just a shapeshifters thing. The whole thing about actual 늑대인간 probably doesn't have anything to do with imprinting.

Imprinting is a part of the tribes legends, something originally believed to be very rare. Technically, it was never said that it was a "real" werewolf trait. However, the tribe thought that they were real 늑대인간 until the Breaking Dawn.

It actually tell's 당신 it is a Quilete tribe tradition, not that it is a 'werewolf' one. A Shape shifter will imprint not a werewolf.

ok as we all know Jacob Black is not a "real" werewolf, however he is a shapeshifter and that is what they do. and also imprinting is a part of tribal legends usually believed to be very rare, plus all the "werewolves" really truely belived they were 늑대인간 untill Edward pointed out that they were not in Breaking Dawn.

I know it's like 7 months late but I still want to comment.
Jacob and his pack imprint because they are shape-shifters not werewolves. The real 늑대인간 are moon people 또는 something like that (as it was said in Breaking Dawn) and they turn into 늑대 only when it's full moon. And I think that they are not as normal as Jacob's pack wolves. When they're 늑대 they are wild - they don't have any human instincts, just animal and they can't find humans attractive at all.
But I may be wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if all this was a big fat lie I just wrote. I apologize if it's like that!
