Chapter 7
    Secrets unearthed
    By the time the flash drive was down, it was early in the afternoon and I took the device and plugged it on my computer so father wouldn’t suspect a thing.
    The file folder popped up, and I clicked on the first file in there. It was snippets of writing, all of father’s thoughts put down in there. After a few minutes, I clicked out of there, shaking my head. I clicked on the 초 file.
    This one was of pictures of me and Azerien, and I felt tears prick my eyes at them. There was one of Azerien and I, I was probably five while Azerien seven, but we were in front of Cinderella’s 성 smiling big.
    But our smiles were weird, they had a certain edginess to it, a dark cruel edge, and happiness too. Azerien hadn’t had much change, he had that devious look in his eyes as always, and his smile always screamed rebel.
    But I, I had changed a lot, back then my hair had reached all the way past my butt and to my knees. I remember when I was ten, I had cut so short into a pixie cut, some girls said it fit, other’s asked if I was a boy. 의해 now my hair reached to my shoulders.
    My smile was big and bright then, but something sad flickered in my eyes, 당신 could barely see it, but it was there. Now in most of the pictures I see myself, I looked broken, like a hurt 강아지 dog. Like a part of me had died, and I couldn’t get that part of me back. I went out of there and went to third file marked: File 3, in there, there was pictures of…father? It was! But he was very young in these pictures, I felt myself shake with laughter upon gazing at his 사워, 사 우 어 face, the same 사워, 사 우 어 face he wears today. Father was an adorable kid, he was super skinny and had light brown hair, Azerien looks almost exactly like him. There were 더 많이 pictures of him and I laughed out loud at how ridiculous he looked in some of them. In these pictures he looked like just any other innocent kid, but he wasn’t, he was a killer. He was a monster. He was my father.
    After viewing all the pictures, I went to the forth file and my breathe literally failed me. They were pictures of my mother, looking beautiful, innocent, sweet, kind, all the things my father was not. She had golden blonde hair that was curly and loopy.
    She had dark blue, that was flecked with green in them, and her smile reminded me somewhat of Cali’s just so much brighter. My mother was pretty tall, and she had a nice body complete with curves and whatnots. There were pictures of her in high school and no one could even compare. Not even the 인기 people were this gorgeous. I was practically hyperventilating when I was done, and clicked out of there quickly. I made a mental note to go back there when I was done.
    I clicked on the 다음 file and squinted. What in the world? There was barely anything there. It looked 더 많이 like Microsoft’s Word, there was one sentence in that file and it simply read: Re-apply all the stuff in the basement. The basement!
    Taking a deep breath, I quickly walked to my room and closed my laptop with the flash drive and hid it under my bed. Then, I took another deep breath and slowly made my way to the basement. I coughed the instant my foot touched the ground in there, it smelled horrible. I looked around and wiped my eyes to look again.
    Every single 벽 was covered with something, not one spot was bare, there was 글쓰기 on the walls too 의해 marker. Pictures, news clippings, papers, all kinds of stuff was put on the wall. It was like a unorganized version of the files on the computer, the same things I saw here was on the files. One picture particularly caught my eye, it was of me and…Cali? Yeah, it was, we were walking to the buses, our hair windblown, we didn’t even know someone was taking a picture, and 의해 someone I mean father, of course.     On the other side, the other wall, had news clipping of the legendary killer. I could tell these were old, and I knew why father still kept him. This is what he wants Azerien, his own flesh and blood to do, he wants him to continue on his legend, continue his killings. He wants Azerien to be the 다음 Legendary Killer. There were some VC-R’s and dvd’s of 더 많이 legendary killings, most likely news of the aftermath.
    It was then that I started focusing on the 글쓰기 on the walls, it was barely there but I could make it out, it was in red marker (of course). Things that said brilliant, must continue, Azerien’s task.
    I went back to the other picture and looked for red writing, there was only one that I didn’t like one bit: must investigate. This was my father’s hideout, where he’d plan his deeds and who knows takes his victims too. But what was he planning on he doing now?
    I looked at another picture of me and my friends, it was from yesterday at the mall, we were making our way to the 음식 court, smiling and laughing. The picture looked taken on purpose.
    But of course, it wasn’t.
