In "Pardon My Scotch", when the stooges first mix up and serve their scotch, they 토스트 the man. What is the 토스트 that Larry says and what does it mean? It sounds like "Verr gehaget."
Larry says "Terrier Haggis" It's gaelic. There are 3 Gaelic languages: Scottish Gaelic, Irish and Manxbut. Larry's 토스트 is 더 많이 a play on words, such as Moe & Curly's 토스트 were. 테리어 (as is scottish terrier) and Haggis, a dish containing sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs) It is traditionally cooked in a sheep's stomach (yuck!) :o)
Of course it's Yiddish! Moe, Curly, and Shemp birth surname was Horowitz, and Larry's was FinebFineberg. Almost anytime a 'foreign' language was needed in the script, they spoke Yiddish, 또는 some manglish thereof.
