He knows him since more than 1000 years! Do you imagine ? He knows him perfectly! He was always convinced about killing Klaus, it's just that he didn't expect Klaus to say that. The possibility of getting his family back was more important than failing or not to Stefan, Bonnie, Alaric, Elena, etc. I understand everything but it still doesn't make me feel any less disappointed... :( posted over a year ago.
