'The Vampire Diaries' Seasons 8 News: Nina Dobrev Might Comeback, CW President Mark Pedowitz Backs Up Julie Plec's Negotiations With Dobrev

According to reports, Julie Plec and CW President Mark Pedowitz are in negotiations with Nina Dobrev to have the actress returned in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

Most of "The Vampire Diaries" fans will welcome the upcoming season with excitement and pain. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will be the final season of the series and will mark the end of the characters\' journey.

Since "The Vampire Diaries" will be bidding goodbye for good, "TVD" fans are expecting to see Nina Dobrev\'s return in the series. Dobrev\'s character, Elena Gilbert is the original protagonist of the popular series. However, reports have it Ian Somerhalder\'s ex might not return in the last season at all.

Parent Herald previously reported that Ian Somerhalder and wife Nikki Reed are sabotaging Nina Dobrev\'s return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Both wish to finish the series without Dobrev but Julie Plec and the "TVD" fans want the actress\'s attendance in the series\' final season.

During the San Diego Comic-Con when Ian Somerhalder was asked about Nina Dobrev\'s return in the final season, where he just said, "No, you\'re not gonna get \'em." When Julie Plec tried to explain that Nina Dobrev promised to return, Somerhalder showed his disapproval by questioning Plec about their past conversation, Morning News USA reported.

In a separate report from Parent Herald, Ian Somerhalder disclosed his disapproval of the Delena moments as well. In fact, he preferred "The Vampire Diaries" to have a brotherly ending. If ever Nina Dobrev returns, he wants her character to go on living without any memories of Damon or Stefan.

Unfortunately for Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder, chances are still high that fans will see Nina Dobrev in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. CW president Mark Pedowitz admitted that they backed up Julie Plec\'s decision of bringing Nina Dobrev back in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Movie News Guide reported. Pedowitz disclosed that the "TVD" production and Dobrev are currently in negotiations and he is hopeful that thing will turn out right.
