I don't know; the way The Simpsons are, any time they learn anything of value, they reset by the next episode. I think it's how they've managed to stay comical and fresh. Can't get lost in drama if you don't develop your characters..! Of course, I think that hurts them, too, as they have absolute ZERO for continuity.
