No, the fact that 당신 have never read the 책 또는 seen the lord of the rings 영화 is not an issue. The 책 give 당신 더 많이 info but 당신 don't have to read them to see the movies. I saw the first two Harry Potter 영화 before I read the books. I hope this helps you.

No. Actually I literally knew nothing about The Hobbit 또는 Lord of the Rings until I saw The Hobbit and then I watched Lord of the Rings and read the books.
It's a good idea to start 읽기 the 책 and watching the LotR 영화 though since they are amazing and you'll understand more.

Well, I do find that abit strange that 당신 haven't seen any of the other movies, but the thing about the 책 is quite normal for many people. Well, except for me. I do believe that to become a devoted 팬 당신 must do all those things, but 당신 shouldn't worry about it because you're just starting out. :)

No, it is not an issue, but I do think 당신 are missing out! I would advise 당신 to read the Hobbit first, and then read/watch the Lord of the Rings. I absolutely loved the 책 - they are a literacy marvel in my mind - and I really truly recommend your 읽기 of them.
