Some might say John was a bad father, leaving his two Sons alone in a motel while he want off and hunted. But he did not hunt, Deer, he hunted the Supernatural!

But John may have neglected his Boy, and left Dean to Look after Sammy still dose not mean he is a Bad father. He may have not been the best but he she as hell was a great father.

He may have went Crazy with rage after his wifes dean but at least when that happened he did not Hurt his boys 또는 forget about them (Poor Max Miller) He taught them to stick with your family and many 더 많이 values.

He cared about his boy 더 많이 then anything. He would have done anything to protect them from what he fights. He even taught his boys how to hunt. To john Family was everything. "If 당신 don't have family, then what do 당신 have?" That is a true quote. Without family what do 당신 have?

Johns 사랑 for his family rubbed off on his sons. They are justs as Loving about Family as him
Even when his Boys were grown men he would do anything for them. Hell he went to Hell for Dean. If thats not signs of a good father then i have no clue what is.

Even after he was dead he looked after them. He crawled out of hell and saved Dean so he could kill The-Yellowed-Eyed-Demon, Crawled out of Hell!

John may have not got the "Father of the year" award he she as hell deserves to be known as a great father that would do anything for his boys, Dean and Sam.

After he found out that he had a another son, Adam, he tried his best to spend time with him. he also protected him from what he could not protect Sam and Dean from.

ais541890 I completely agree with you. John was a good father. He may not have done everything by the book or rules like the rest of the parents were, but he wasn't in a normal situation either. Hunters are in a world so much more different the the every day parent. He had to protect his children from the supernatural and everyday things, while an every day parent just had to protect their children from normal every day things. John had a whole lot more to protect his children from. And he did the very best that he could. In my opinion, John did the best that he could given the circumstances. Yeah, maybe he could have done better in quite a few departments, but that's not going to make me call him a bad father. He was a better father than most. He gave Sam and Dean one of life's most important lessons: family is everything.

kat4543 He was an ok father, but not to tell Dean and Sam about Adam was wrong. I know he wanted to protect Adam, but don't you think they had a right to know?

Flickerflame Part good father, part bad. As you pointed out, there was never any evidence of him being abusive - he could have been much worse. There's no sign that he blamed Sam for Mary's death. He could have decided that he couldn't hunt while he had these young children, but I think Mary's death (and not knowing that she'd been a hunter herself) had got him thinking that ignorance was no defence. And he taught them hunting skills so that they could protect themselves. I agree that they probably learned their love of family from him.

Etoile_Cyber2 I'm doing a fanfiction on Movellas which is similar to Adam Milligan situation with the slight difference that my character Nadia is his thirteen year old granddaughter instead of son, and the daughter of Dean. I think John could have left the boys with Bobby until they were old enough instead of leaving them in a motel room for days, weeks, or even months. They could have been going to school, a roof over their heads and not a car roof, and actually had something constant with some normalcy. My theory about the fight that Dean mentioned in 01.22 Devil's Trap may or may not have been about that - John not letting the boys be boys. What do you guys think?

Flickerflame ^I'm pretty certain that was the nature of the fight. We see a similar fight between them in Bobby's flashbacks in season 7 too, after he'd played ball with Dean instead of getting him to practice shooting. Leaving them with Bobby to give them a permanent home would be a good idea. But maybe Bobby was still more of an active hunter at the time, so he wouldn't always be at the house?

well Ive just become so insane for sam AKA Jared Padalecki,I just went to the convention in Nashville about what 3 weeks 이전 and Im already itching to see Jared again,I also meet a friend at the con,samgirl07,we are yes two insane samgirls neither of us cant wait a whole 년 to see his sweet face,no ,Im not a stalker so dont go there I just was so taken in 의해 Jared when I meet him the first time I want to do it again ,I had the best time at my first con Im sittin on go ,so hello yeah Im crazy about Jared he seems to be very considerate with his 팬 and the way he was with us just makes 당신 crave 더 많이 !!Jared is the best in my eyes!!and this time I so want to go gold!!!Jared and Jensen both are hillarous they make 당신 laugh so hard 당신 almost pee your pants ,hehe !lol ,insane for sam!!!

One 더 많이 episode to go. And I am anxious about ‘Swan Song’!

Tonight’s episode, ‘Two 분 to Midnight‘, had everything. Humor, horror, and a Human Cas? I was so surprised when Cas finally made his appearance, I actually cried. He was in a hospital bed- which piqued my interest- with a bug bite that itched no matter how much he scratched it. The doctors thought he might be brain dead, and were surprised when he woke up! Apparently Cas is now human, but with a “speck” of 앤젤 left in him to get Pestilence’ ring. And to kill a demon.

Mirror Imagery and 더 많이

The crew of 수퍼내츄럴 loves to echo past events using imagery and dialogue, sometimes obvious, sometimes subtle. They're mile markers along the journey that encourage the audience to look back and see how far the show has come.
Here's a few that I've noticed;

Pilot: The obvious mirror image of Mary and Jess both pinned to the ceiling.

Pilot: John hands baby Sammy to Dean and says "Take your brother outside as fast as 당신 can. Don't look back."

Home: Sam says to Sari "Take your brother outside as fast as 당신 can and don't look back."
[both events happened in the same house]

Is Sammy Really Dark Side?

For the time being, there is a LOT of evidence that Sam is totally going bad. For one, he has demon blood in him. Two, he can use special psychic powers to send demons back to Hell. Three, he doesn't listen to anyone, whether it be an angel, a psychic, 또는 his own brother, when they tell him he should stop using his powers. Four, he has now acquired a taste for demon blood. Ew. Five, he hangs out with Ruby behind Dean's back, then lies about it. Six, he can now kill demons with some serious concentration and a clench of his fist. Wow, that's a long list.

But in a way, he's doing the right thing....
