He misinterpreted his vision of her death. He thought that she was dying in childbirth, but in reality, she was dying from a severely broken heart. He, however, didn't see that coming. Even if she wasn't pregnant, he would've seen her dying in his dream. The only difference is that he wouldn't have thought that she was dying from childbirth. He would've conjured up another deduction :)

i'm not sure. The fact that padme was pregnant accelerated his downfall. If she wasn't, it would have take more time to palpatine to turn him evil, and as the jedi have begun to interrogate themselves about Palpatine's "all powers" in the senate ... Maybe the fact he was a sith would have been revealed in time, and anakin wouldn't have been tempted anymore

That's actually a really good question I had not thought of before. personally i agree with peteandco, Padme being pregnant added urgency to the situation i think it would have definitly taken more time for him to turn and by that time the jedi probably would have caught on (since they already were suspecting palpatine of treason) and Anakin would have been saved. But thats a really good point.

I think yes if she wasent pregnet then he could have pictuered someone else is death.

Palpatines lies made him go over to the dark side.If Padme was not pregnant would Palpatine make other lies to get over Anakin to the dark side. Anakin was a threat to Palpatine.
