With Snape as a teacher, my academic will shoot up in no time (even though I'm already at the top of my class). posted over a year ago.

I had a tremendous crush on him because he was so intelligent and clever with his quips, even though his looks were a bit on the unfortunate side. He never really targeted me with his sarcasm though. He usually targeted students who were more cocky and know-it-all types. I was a good student, but rather quiet and unobtrusive about it. posted over a year ago.

And, at that time of my life, I liked a little humor, but I liked guidance. I wanted someone who knew what they wanted and knew how to get us there. I did not like wishy washy and then haste and waste trying to get the lesson done at the end of class. And, he voice would have enthralled me. posted over a year ago.

Later I have changed my mind about them and I am sure I would have fallen in love with him at the age of sixteen or even earlier. So I wouldn't have been one of the children who have many reasons to fear him. ;) Although it was never shown in the books or films, I also think he would be a little protective for children who are harassed by other students - because the situation reminds him of his own bullies.
