MrsWormtongue, very good question, but since it has not been stated in a canon source, this is one of those things we're going to have to hope JKR clears up with Pottermore.
Remember please that there was fighting all around the castle; even while the battle was going on there were people bringing in bodies of the slain. It stands to reason that after the battle, there would have been a full 검색 of the surrounding area, and I doubt Harry would have kept silent about the location of Severus' body. Riddle states, while he and Harry are circling each other, "I killed Severus Snape three hours ago," so those listening would have known that his body would have been somewhere near the castle.

Good answer, as usual ! I'm sure that while they repaired the castle, they searched and found all the bodies and gave them all a proper burial.
Of course not! Harry sent people back for his body, but it was gone. And that's because he's STILL ALIVE! No evidence to back this theory up, just BELIEF in Severus. He's meaner than Nagini! Just 당신 wait!

I 사랑 this answer and I wish it were true. Personal I've missed that scene in the book and in the movie as well. I hope Joe Rowling knows what she is doing in 포터모어 with snape and all his fans. Let him survive and life 또는 give him a burrial that is worth all his sacrefices!
Hermione and Harry went back for his body to give him a proper burial but his body was not where it was supposed to be. No one ever found his body even though they tried every spell possible. DO 당신 know why that is? He never died; he just faked his death. He rules even death. DUH!
It was the lack of any mention of Severus Snape's death, burial, ceremony, anything in the epilogue other than a middle name.....that caused me to 검색 and find the wonderful world of fanfiction....whoo hoo and all thans to my favorit fanfic writers and creators of fanart and videos....Love them and please, keep them coming!!!! Just because the 책 and 영화 have come to an end does not mean that our little world within a world has to!

Hope 당신 checked my story then ! I felt like 당신 too, deeply disturbed 의해 the lack of closure about the 2nd most important character in the series, right after Harry.

I read it and couldn't stop crying. 당신 did wonderful job. Severus deserved to have someone sincerely mourn and miss him. Not just have people feel guilty for having misjudged him.
Your story is beautiful. I always figured Harry would have done something for Snape. Your story is better than anything I could have ever imagined. Having Eileen Snape there was heartbreaking-I guess I just assumed she had already passed on. I look 앞으로 to 읽기 your other stories.

Loving your stories as always and as Jester616 said having his mummy there was absolutly Heartbreaking because in my mind i would like to think that she was still alive so there was someone that cared for him at least.
Yes, I agree with you. Eileen Snape was not supposed to appear first in that story but as I was 글쓰기 it I thought it would be nice to show that someone loved him and cared for him, as 당신 put it.
It was never stated either way, but I'd say yes. Harry, Ron and Hermione knew where he died, so I'm sure they would have either told someone where to collect the body 또는 would have done it themselves.
I really don't know but I hope it was because he is my favourite character of the whole series. Pus if his body was not found, then they will DIE!!! As i said I think he deserves something for what he did and I were them, I would have stayed with him untill the end of the battle trying to save him.
