Akane's the most logical choice , had Ranma been meant to fall for Shampoo then Takahashi wouldn't of made Ranama and Akane the cannon couple. There's no question who Ranma is suppose to be with. Is anyone really so full of themselves that they think they know better than the women responsible for creating these characters. I think everyones entitled to an opinion, but sometimes people just start to piss me off, and I hate it when people down right trash the leading lady of a series, don't they know there pretty much insulting the creator when they do stuff like that and if that's the case they have no business watching it.

In the beginning I actually HATED shampoo and Ukyo wasn't much better. Eventually I grew fond of the two even though I thought they were very selfish at time, plus annoying, but still, hell would freeze over before I thought either of those two girls should be paired with Ranma. The romance between Ranma and Akane is so obvious I honestly can't understand why some people even contemplate the possibility of Ranma being paired with another girl.

Ranma and Akane's relationship sort of reminds me of the childish grade school romance; where you pick on/bully the person you secretly have a crush on. Akane's always looking for approval with Ranma so when he's honest with how bad her cooking skills or certain martial arts skills are she's so quick to blow up! She's just a passionate, emotional character in general that makes her stand out from her sisters.

Akane is the best girl for Ranma. She might have a temper, but she loves him for who he really is and she respects his right to choose who he wants to be with. Ukyo and Shampoo, I'm not sure if either REALLY love him, if they do, they're form of love is very selfish. Especially Shampoo's since she had actually tried a couple of potions to make Ranma fall for her. That type of love is something I sould never agree with. In urusei yatsura, I think the big difference between shampoo and Lum was, Shampoo wants Ranma to fall for her, or uses tricks to try to break his engagement with Akane; Lum on the other hand used a few tricks ONLY to try to get Ataru to admit or express how he REALLY felt about her. Many people whom are a fan of both, I do not think they really see this and will never understand why Shampoo could never win the battle for Ranma's heart.

Hmmm... I think Lum 121 is definitely on to something here. Its true, although Lum had used a few tricks with Ataru, unlike Shampoo, I do not recall any of them influencing his free will in the least. It was to get him to express how he felt, while Shampoo tried to force Ranma to fall in love with her. Two example were the read thread of fate (which was some thing she actually came up with on her own, without her great grandmother persuading her) and the 3 love pills.

Akane is the only girl I think is strong enough to be a TRUE partner with Ranma. Shampoo and Ukyo are too busy trying to please him and fight over him. Ranma needs someone who will not agree with most everything he says and isn't afraid to tell him off when he's about to do something REALLY stupid or lets his ego get away with him. All Shampoo and Ukyo do is Inflate it, and considering he generates a ki attack based on pure confidence, an ego booster is the LAST thing Ranma needs. Plus Ranma can be a total jerk sometimes and he need some one, not only willing to put up with him, but some one who will speak her mind. I think Akane is the only female who is WOMAN enough to take on someone like Ranma.

Akane is the only girl for Ranma. She's the only one who cared about who Ranma wanted to be with, rather than who she wanted him to want to be with, and when in comes to love, I think that matters A LOT!
Akane is the BEST and ONLY girl for Ranma. Ranma and Akane belong with each other and no one else, the end, there is no room for debate that's just the way it is and will always be.

Akane and Ranma besides Akane loves Ranma the best , but Shampoo doesn't love Ranma She's with him only because of her Amazon law and Ukyo is engaged to Ranma because her father wanted to .. She was just a kid back then so She don't love him , but Akane at the first place she hated him but after so many scenes between the two she starded to love Ranma and gave up on Tofu , Ranma loves Akane cuz at the first place he didn't hate her but he wanted to know her better so he loved Akane XD (he adimit it at the last chapter of the manga)

If you pick anyone other then Akane then you watched the show with your eyes closed. They don’t have to be the closest friends ever to be cute together. The story is enemies to lovers this is what you need to understand.
