Are viruses(only talking about humans getting sick viruses) living 또는 non-living, and why do 당신 think so?

Scientists are still sitting on the fence on this question. Maybe it is alive, maybe it isn't. Maybe it's only half alive! But right now, if there were only two options(living 또는 non-living), what would 당신 say, and why would 당신 say so?

Viruses are not considered "alive" because they lack many of the properties that scientists associate with living organisms. Primarily, they lack the ability to reproduce without the aid of a host cell, and don't use the typical cell- division approach to replication.
