Perhaps not technically a "gem", but bismuth crystal is very cool. It's an element unto itself (you'll find it on the periodic table) and naturally forms awesome spiral structures. The surface then oxidises to create the iridescent glow of 무지개, 레인 보우 colours 당신 see below. A very cool metal.
