I hope I'm not the only one who feels like this...

당신 are not alone. Many other people feel the same way as 당신 in this world. Personally, I am not an advocate of the gay lifestyle, but that is just me. I don't have anything against homosexuals. I believe everyone has the right to choose who they want to be with, regardless of the gender. I may not agree with it, but I do accept it.

Being "gay" should not be considered an insult, and people who use the word as an insult are just ignorant and immature. Keep in mind that there are quite a lot of fools who don't know how to use considerate language in today's society. It's just the way people have become. It's a sad concept to think about.

Fortunately, there are people like 당신 that do not agree with the utilization of the word in such an atrocious way. They throw the word around like it's nothing, like it's meaningless, like it has no purpose 또는 value to the people around them. They treat it like it's a toy, a play-thing that can be thrown around willy-nilly in any given situation.

That is disrespectful and just plain rude behavior. "Gay" is not an insult. In fact, it's quite the contrary. It's a statement, a way of life that people choose for themselves. The argument can be made that it's not a "choice" to be gay, but again, this is my opinion and the way I think. Please respect that.

Once more, I don't agree with the lifestyle, but everyone's choices and opinions deserve to be respected, despite the many people who continue to use the word in such an inconsiderate way.

I knew what the proper meanings of terms are/were but this is not 19th c Britain & they ARE used in that generalized way. If 당신 dislike, simply do not use 또는 associate with those who DO talk like that-that is what I do.

Have 당신 noticed how most of the people who use the word 'gay' in that way are just really immature anyways? I try to steer clear of those people as much as I can. They're very annoying and impossible.

it does irritate me when people do that. honestly there's about 2,000 또는 더 많이 words out there 당신 could use to describe something other than "gay"

It's idiotic and childish. I will hear it being used in my school as an insult 10 times a 일 and it annoys the hell out of me.

Usually when people say things like "Oh that's so gay!" I will just come right back and say, "No it's straight!" Just to show them how ridiculous it sounds. Thankfully, it works. Because most of the time when people use it they forget what they are really saying and how offensive they sound.

I agree with you. People just don't use the term for it's proper meaning anymore. Just like "gay", the term "bitch" isn't used for it's proper meaning anymore. Gay shouldn't be an insult, but a term to describe a homosexual. That it should be.

Yes, it is stupid, I agree, but it's also stupid to care at all tbh. Making a fuss over it just makes people (or 더 많이 specifically idiotic immature assholes) want to use it 더 많이 to spite the people getting mad which isn't exactly helping gay people get any measure of social acceptance. Getting mad just alienates gay people further. On the other hand, if 당신 let it slide and 당신 don't let it bother 당신 the people using it won't get pissy and everyone's good.

The way I see it, 당신 have to own a word. "Queer" used to be demeaning but we took it and made it our own. The same with "dyke." I'll tell people I'm a dyke with a smile. The same should happen with faggot, because if 당신 own it they can't use it against you. They're just words, right? So just don't give a fuck if people call each other "gay" as an insult and will go away eventually.
