How come musicians wear earplugs when they perform?

Do they think they sound bad? :/

It's simple logic that they don't wear earplugs while performing.

It's so they can hear the 음악 over screaming fans. And so they don't lose their place in the song

They're not earplugs, they're earphones. They wear them so they can hear the backing track and their vocals so they know whether they are in tune and time.

Because logically they'd blow out their eardrums with the amps and speakers.
