Tell them to stop being prejudice assholes and ignore what they say. I honestly never understood why people would tease others for liking something they know nothing about, it just makes them seem really cruel and stupid. But to really answer you're question, It's because it's cute, funny, and has a lot of humor everyone can enjoy.

Great show. Comes from the same people who made Powerpuff girls and Foster's 집 for Imaginary 프렌즈 and those were successful shows. Great animation, voice acting, and story lines. It's funny and cute. It's one of those kid shows that doesn't state the obvious. I recommend it.

The reason why everyone talks about it and hypes it up is because people don't expect to fall in 사랑 with a show aimed at young girls.
