Let's pretend 당신 saw a t-shirt worth 97 cents at a store. Since 당신 don't have any cash along with you, 당신 borrowed 50 cents from your mom and 50 cents from your dad as well. So now 당신 have $1. 당신 bought the 셔츠 and received a change of 3 cents. 당신 returned 1c to your mom, 1c to your dad and 당신 kept the remaining 1c.

So now 당신 owe them 49c each.Here's the question:

49c + 49c = 98c is the total of how much 당신 owe them, plus the 1 cent that 당신 kept = 99c.

It was supposed to be $1. Where's the missing penny?
