you would probably know if you had an IQ in that range, EverybodyLies. only about 1% of the people in the world have an IQ above 135 - anything over 140 is considered "genius". if you do, wow! (a "normal" range is between 85 and 115).

personally, i think standardized IQ tests are balony. they only test one kind of intelligence when in fact, there are many.

I tested a 149 when I was in kindergarten and a 146 before college. Clearly, alcohol has killed some of my brain cells.

I have only taken the ones for fun on the internet thats how I know it's not right it came up with 139, I know I am not that smart, I'm smart enough to realize that...lol

I did one when I was a child, it said 130-140. I also took the national IQ test online, and that said 136, but the videos didn't work for me so I had to guess some of the questions, and how accurate can an online test be?

124 is above average. Somewhere around a 100 is average. Most people are somewhere between 90 and 110, I believe.
When you have between 120 and 130 you are 'gifted' (or so my dictionary says). Which would mean there are a lot of highly gifted people on fanpop?

The Internet ones I've taken have been in this range, but don't know exactly, I've never taken an official one.

i think it's fairly good at seeing weather you think logically and your intelligence

No IQ test is perfect by any means. I took one during a high school psychology class (online, of course) and I think I scored a 144. This was the best available test at the time, which was why my teacher selected it for us. It was supposed to be as reliable and valid as possible (meaning it actually measured intelligence and would provide approximately the same scores when taken multiple times.) Now do they *really*? It's very, very difficult for any test to take into account all the myriad things that must be considered, including cultural background, various types of intelligence, etc. Our class was thinking critically about whether it's even possible to truly measure intelligence, especially through tests, and if so, how best to do it. The developers of IQ tests try to make them as accurate as possible and on the whole they probably don't do too poorly...the tests definitely can't just be written off as stupid and/or biased, and standardized ones that have been worked hard on for a long time can be very useful--within reason, of course. You can't place too much value on them and they are only one small clue to a person's capabilities. As Blisslikethis pointed out...such high scores are very rare. Guess we're a bunch of geniuses?! XD
