spoiler..dont read unless u saw the movie...

the way i understand the movie and the mermaid legend it seems as if in the end syrena takes phillip to the bottom of the sea to drown him and eat him. am i wrong? did i miss something?

No, Syrena took Philip to the bottom of the sea to heal him. When a mermaid kisses a human, the humans are able to breathe underwater for some amoumt of time. There, she will be able to heal his wound.
