SJF_Penguin2 Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you are so inclined), any theory I once had about the tape's meaning has mostly diminished. It turns out that the same tapes have also been seen in other tape players, including Skipper's "Skipper's Log" one, Julien's stereo, and even the Red Squirrel's tape recorder. My theory now is just that these tapes could be inside jokes among the show's creators, or that they simply have no meaning at all.

SJ_waddles Hey, now that i think of it, perhaps those tapes were used when the 3 penguins (Skipper Kowalski Rico) and possibly Manfriedy and Johnson (Are they penguins? o.o) were little pengys~ and the zookeepers were making tapes. but probably they never had gotten on to finishing them, so maybe they took some blank tapes? and the penguins just gave it to the other animals that have stereos and recorders (mostly just Marlene and the lemurs ) and themselves. I don't know, thats just my theory...

krazy4kowalski Hmmm, well although I hate to say it, that might be a creator joke. Maybe they want to encourage pairings so that we keep watching the show 4 them. Good strategy, actually!

SJF_Penguin2 All these months later, I may have finally figured out who Danielle is. According to her website, Danielle Powers is a background painter and texture artist who has done some work with props and some other elements on the show. Among her work is a boombox, and inside of that boombox is a cassette tape: "Danielle's Guide to Parenting: Baby Penguins." Could it be that Powers placed her own name on the tapes?
