I think this is WAY too complex to just be for half a season. I think that they should've had the winter finale be Emma making Excalibur whole and killing Arthur, along with Gwen getting her senses back and going with Lancelot. Then have the rest of the story have the main villains be Emma and Nimue. Also having Zelena be Emma's partner in crime because she's impressed with how she could use Merlin's wand and live to tell the tale. She'd use her desire to have her child and be loved, since her child would be her only chance and no one would ever accept her. That would've been an AWESOME finale. Plus cut out the Brave storyline (which really doesn't add anything), not do the Hook as the Dark One storyline, show Regina as The Savior, and having Emma's family show more struggles with her being the Dark One and her distancing herself from them. Yes, I do think that the Underworld storyline will be great, but I think having Emma be the one to sacrifice herself and having to be saved by those who love her from the Underworld would be better. Don't get me wrong, the first half of the season was great, but this would've made it even better!

Well, if it was more fleshed out it would have more of our baby, Regina.

Mainly since everything soon turned out dramatic, plus the second half would be great since we see all of the deceased enemies of the cast as well as facing the ruler of the Underworld, Hades.

It could've worked, but I'm glad they didn't stretch it, by fitting it into part 1 it made for more intense episodes.
