If I'm basing my answer on who was my favourite character who died and, therefore, who I was most upset about never seeing again in the series, then it has to be between Jiraiya and Itachi.

However, if I'm basing my answer on whose death was portrayed in the most heart-wrenching, moving way possible, I think my answer would be Asuma... because of the whole aftermath... and his last words to squad 10... and 시카마루 crying... :'(

asuma. i was was so sad the first time i read it. i own that book and even though it has one of my 가장 좋아하는 fights i never read it cause of that

Asuma~sensei's death and Jiraiya~sama's death was the worst hit for me... When I cried for Itachi,,, a part of it was for the pain Sasuke felt later... Neji's death broke my heart, but I cried...so it probably wasn't the saddest
