Emigration and immigration are both forms of migration. If 당신 옮기기 out of a country, 당신 have emigrated, and 당신 are an emigrant.

If 당신 옮기기 into a country, 당신 have immigrated, and 당신 are now an immigrant.

Either way, 또는 even if 당신 옮기기 within the same country, 당신 have migrated, and 당신 are a migrant.

So if I migrated from the US to China, I will have emigrated from the US to become an immigrant in China. Just remember that the "e-" prefix means out and the "im-" prefix means in.

They are not the same.
