It was a great 일 in the quiet small town of Ponyville, and everyone was liking their day. They also had their own errands and jobs to do, whether it be shopping 또는 building things. But this story will focus on our 가장 좋아하는 party 조랑말 and the town's lively resident: Pinkie Pie!
As Pinkie was working in the sweet shop, Sugar Cube Corner, she had some thoughts about how many non-pony 프렌즈 she had. The answer was clear: she had little to no non-pony friends, including Cranky the donkey. She even thought that she had too many friends. After her shift, she didn't bother to sleep in the apartment above the sweet shop. She was going to find herself a new non-pony friend. "Wait, Pinkie," Mr. Cake stopped her, "I don't think now would be a good time to do that. Please get some rest." Pinkie felt as if Mr. Cake was pulling her away from what she wanted to do. Reluctant, she complies to his 조언 and went to sleep.
As Pinkie Pie was asleep, she had a dream. In it, there were many of her town 프렌즈 all greeting her. Even 무지개, 레인 보우 Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle was there. They were all happy to see her when all of a sudden, a different figure came forth from the sea of ponies. It came towards Pinkie and said, "Haven't 당신 got enough 프렌즈 for yourself?" Pinkie then said, "Nopony should have a to how many 프렌즈 he 또는 she would like." After that, outside of her dream, she awoke and came to realize that nobody could have an excess in friends.
The 다음 morning, Pinkie Pie left to try to find herself a new friend. That 일 was a 일 she didn't have to work. After she left, she went towards the city of Canterlot to find where there would be any non 조랑말 citizens could be. Much to her dismay, when she arrived and searched the entire city, there weren't any non-pony citizens around. As soon as she left, a strange figure appeared out of the shadows from behind her, asking, "Are 당신 lost?" Pinkie, frightened because of the sudden sound coming from behind her, turned to see someone that wasn't a pony, but a centaur. He looked a little muscular around his black horse body, but when it came to the 상단, 맨 위로 part of his body, his proportions were normal-looking, and it looked somewhat like a combination of a horse and a goat.
"Uh… hi," a frightened 담홍색, 핑크 조랑말 began, " I'm Pinkie Pie. Who're you?"
"My name is Nessus, the centaur," the strange character said, "and it looks like you're either 로스트 또는 lonely." She was neither of those. All she wanted to do was find a non-pony friend, and it looks like her task at hoof was already starting to begin.
"Well," Pinkie Pie, still scared, began, "I was looking for somepony to befriend, but now I'm scared of you. 당신 look so scary!"
"We centaurs are known for everyone's fear of us," Nessus said, "and those who opposed my kind and their ancestors would regret it. But 당신 don't seem very harmful to begin with."
Pinkie wasn't sure if she was to be relieved 또는 even 더 많이 frightened from what the beast said. She then spoke in a 더 많이 calm voice, saying, "Would 당신 like to come with me to my home? I have many 프렌즈 당신 might make."
"I'm not sure if that's very prudent," the centaur said, "because we are feared throughout this land. Your 조랑말 kind will only be frightened at the sight of me."
"Nonsense!" Pinkie cheerfully said, also filled with pride. "I'm sure everyone will accept you. I'm sure of it!" The centaur still wasn't too sure about this, but he decided to take the risk and go with the 담홍색, 핑크 pony. "Besides, what could go wrong?" she also said.
As soon as the two went back to Ponyville, everyone caught sight of Nessus and ran indoors, screaming in fear. It looked as if he were right: Centaurs were still feared. "I knew this wasn't a good idea," the concerned centaur said. Pinkie Pie assumed everything would go good, but now, Nessus was starting to think she may be wrong.
"I don't understand why this is happening. 당신 mean no harm," said Pinkie Pie. Just then, out of the shadows of a nearby alley, a stallion said, "Because 당신 brought a savage beast to our town! He has to leave NOW!" Pinkie Pie, feeling offended, approached the stallion, saying that the centaur means no harm.
Nessus didn't want to be part of the argument, so he began to back away, but all of a sudden, he saw a little 망아지, 콜트 trip over. He approached the little pony, only to scare him away. Everyone saw what happened and gave chase to Nessus, but he was a fast runner. He ran towards the Everfree Forest and left everyone else behind. They dared not to enter that dreaded forest. Pinkie Pie, however, entered so she could find Nessus.
Pinkie Pie searched for Nessus all over the forest, losing hope every 분 she wastes. She had been searching for almost two hours, but to no avail. Eventually, she gave up, believing she 로스트 him. Slowly walking in shame, she said to herself, "Maybe he was right. Maybe I did bring a savage beast to Ponyville, scaring everyone. This is all my fault!" She laid near a tree, sobbing, feeling ashamed about what she had done. "What is wrong, ma'am? 당신 whine like a ram," someone said. Pinkie Pie looked up to see Zecora, who wanted to know why Pinkie Pie was crying.
Getting up, Pinkie Pie said, "I brought a centaur to Ponyville, thinking that nothing bad would happen. But everyone was scared of him, especially a little 망아지, 콜트 who the centaur tried to help up. Everyone got the wrong idea and started to chase him. He ran in this forest and I've been searching for him ever since. But now, I can't find him!" Pinkie turned away from Zecora, not wanting her to see the sadness and regret coming out of her beautiful blue eyes.
"Ah, 조랑말 of pink," Zecora began, "do not give that gloomy wink. The centaurs may have been feared, but today, they are revered. The reason is that they rarely use violence, but only to give the weak defense. Unfortunately, their fame for protection has gotten incorrect attention, and then ponykind would seek something to cower behind. So cry not, Pinkie Pie, and let your hope rise high. Your centaur will be like the dove, giving out its great love."
Pinkie Pie began to think that Zecora may be right. She decided to bring the 얼룩말 to Ponyville to tell them about the centaur's true reason they were feared. The word was spread across Equestria over a time-span of one week, hoping that everyone would understand that they had the wrong idea about the centaurs. The 다음 day, Nessus came 의해 Sugar Cube Corner, wanting to speak to Pinkie Pie.
"Thank 당신 for spreading the word about us centaurs!" Nessus said in joy. "I also understand that 당신 wanted to be my friend. I gladly accept your request." Upon hearing that, Pinkie Pie felt so happy that she made a new non-pony friend. But Nessus had something else to say. "I cannot stay here because I have my own 집 beyond the forest," he said, "but you're welcome to visit if 당신 feel like it." Pinkie Pie accepted it.
In the end, the false fear of the centaurs has subsided, Pinkie Pie made a new friend and can visit him whenever she feels like it, and everything went back to normal. The lesson here is that when we may hear something, someone may bend it to something that's not true. If we can find out the truth behind what was originally said and tell it to someone, it's alright to tell the truth to others so that they may tell it to others.
