Anyone can make a video.
Some autotune, a bit of photoshop, and there!
But you need talent to perform.
Take Selena Gomez for example.
She sure can't sing.
But can she sing with a modified voice?
Yup.
Can she perform on stage?

Without a doubt. Videos are entertaining and there are some amazing ones out there, but you know the artist is good when they sound better live than recorded.
The most recent one I can think of is Adele. The recorded version of Someone Like You is great, but when she sang it live at the Brits, I was blown away.
