The Mortal Instruments 또는 The Infernal Devices?

I have been wanting to read these 책 forever, and I decided that I'll read it next. So I'm wondering which series I should read first. I'm not sure if there's an order, because I heard that it's different characters. So which order do 당신 think I should read them?
