CHAPTER 5



Michael waited at the steps of the house.
Two hours past and jet nothing happened still.
Another 시간 added on to that and he started to get worried. “What if something happened to her?”He asked himself “What if something Skulduggery Pleasant killed her?”Michael thought a lot to himself. He started to pace, “No, of course not, she’s fine. Just running a bit late,” He said to himself, “But I’m going to phone her anyway. Just to make sure.” He raced into the house and grabbed the phone. He dialled the number and in the 초 ring she answered, “This is a bad time!” she yelled.
“Where are you!?” Michael asked impatiently. Then all of a sudden Michael heard a loud bang that came from the phone.
“Alex. Alex are 당신 okay!?” Michael yelled into the phone.
“I’m fine don’t worry about it,” she whispered
“What was that?” he asked confused, then another bang went off,
And the phone cut. He slammed the phone down and started to weep.............................................................
After a few hours the phone rang and Michael picked it up immediately.
‘Hey.’ She said no louder than a whisper it was course and rough.
“Alex 당신 don’t sound to good is everything okay?” Michael asked
“YIP, doesn’t worry I’m fine just a sore.” She assured him
“You sure, what was that noise?” He asked
“Well I suppose 당신 will eventually find out, I might as well tell you.” She stated
“What are 당신 talking about?” He asked confused
“I was shot, but don’t worry I’m fine now!” she said between coughs
“Alex 당신 were shot, how can 당신 be fine?” Michael questioned
“I’d 사랑 to answer that question; it’s just Kenspeckle would like to speak to you. She stated

“Michael.......”
“Is she going fine?” Michael said interrupting him.
“Don’t talks just listen?” Kenspeckle commanded
“But ...............” Michael stuttered
“I said don’t talk.” His voice stern and firm”
“Diamond is fine after all i am the greatest medical scientist this world will ever know, well getting to the point if 당신 wish to see her I will send someone to fetch you.” Kenspeckle exclaimed
“Yes I would like to see Alex.” Michael whispered
“Very well, send someone to fetch you,”
Goodbye now. He said and hung up

He stood up and gracefully walked outside to go wait for whoever Kenspeckle sent to pick him up, after a few 분 past a 1954 Bentley came up the driveway and reared it in the parking. A tall gentleman in a pin striped suit and a fedora to match stepped out of the car, it was only after he turned to face me that I recognised him it was skulduggery pleasant......

“What did u do to her?” He accused.
“NOTHING, I have done nothing to her and wish for the conversation to end and if I don’t get what I want. I’ll become your worst nightmare understand”.

“Yes, come on then he said walking into the cinema Michael followed him they went into the cinema down then went into the cinema stairs through the screen, down the hallway and into the main room in the medical bay. As soon as he spotted Alex he ran to her.

“Yes I’m fine, she said sounding much better

“Well at least it was almost a 심장 attack and not a 심장 attack, she exclaimed
“True, but don’t scare me like that again.” He spoke in hush tone.
“You’re coming home. Right?” he asked

“Properly not...............we have a meeting at the sanctuary. She explained
“But 당신 where shoot, can’t they give 당신 a break?” he asked
Oh and who’s diamond?” He questioned me.
“Me, how can 당신 not know you’re only daughters taken name.....?
It’s sad really.” she stated.
“Never mind that...so what have 당신 been up to?”

“And!” Michael motioned for her to continue.

“Then it’s important to me and don’t lie I can tell it’s important!” Michael stated.

“You’ve only been my father for + - 2 days and I’ll tell 당신 when we go home.”
“So when do 당신 get to come home?” Michael asked
“Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh you’ll have to ask skulduggery about that.”
“What do 당신 have to ask me?” Skulduggery said walking towards them
“When can she come home?” Michael asked
“Now”
“What about the meeting?” Alex asked
“ohh it’s cancelled I’ll take 당신 back now”
