In the most recent Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait Newsletter, there is a very interesting 기사 about the MJ Time Capsule initiative.

This very unique and special project lets 팬 participate in Michael’s legacy 의해 preserving memories for generations to come through a MJ Time Capsule.

A time capsule is an historic collection of things, goods 또는 information, usually intended as a method of communication with future people and to help future archaeologists, anthropologists, 또는 historians. Time capsules are sometimes created and buried during celebrations such as a World Fair, a cornerstone laying for a building, 또는 at other special events.

Today, many time capsules contain only artifacts of limited value to future generations but, historians suggest that items which describe the daily lives of the people who create them would greatly increase the value of the time capsule to future historians. Things like personal notes, pictures, and documents.

As difficult as it may seem right now, there will come a 일 when there is no longer any person walking the planet who can say they were alive when Michael Jackson was alive. So, this initiative was created with the intention of preserving Michael Jackson’s legacy for generations to come. And, keeping in mind Michael's dedication to saving the planet, they have taken steps to ensure this project is as environmentally friendly as possible.

Try to envision a 일 - many, many years into the future - when an archeological dig uncovers a box of memories, photographs, writings, and footage of Michael Jackson. Now imagine if thousands of these boxes were uncovered in all parts of the world!
