Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) The Jabberwalk poem scene

Ok, I just couldn't help but notice that, while Hatter says it in an oh-so-amazing voice, Hatter also says it wrong.
The original poem:

'Twas brillig and the slithy toves
did gyre and gimble in the wabe.
All mimsy were the borogroves
and the mome raths outgrabe.

Beware the Jabberwalk, my son,
the jaws that bite, the claws that catch.
Beware the JubJub bird, and shun
the frumious bandersnatch.

He took his vorpol sword in hand,
long time the manxome foe he sought,
so rested he by the tumtum tree,
and stood awhile in thought.

As in uffish thought he stood,
the Jabberwalk, with eyes of flame,
came whiffling through the tugley wood
and burbled as it came.

One, two, one, two, through and through,
the vorpol blade went snicker-snack.
He left it dead, and with its head,
he went gallumphing back.

And has thou slain that jabberwalk?
come to my arms, my beamish boy.
Oh, Frabjous day! Calloo Callay!
He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig and the slithy toves
did gyre and gimble in the wabe.
All mimsy were the borogroves
and the mome raths outgrabe.

this is the way Hatter says it:

"twas brillig and the slithy toves
did gyre and gimble on the wabe.
all mimsy were the borogrove
and the mome raths outgrabe.

The Jabberwalk, with eyes of flame,
the jaws that bite, the claws that catch.
Beware the Jabberwalk,
and the Frumious bandersnatch.

He took his vorpol sword in hand,
the vorpol blade went snicker snack.
He left it dead, off with its head,
he went gallumphing back.

So, you see? He says it wrong. But I still love his voice!
