Because they're like brother and sister, only they're not. Their chemistry is amazing, there are sparks flying whenever they're together. Actually, when I started watching the show -and I hated Stella's guts although she's my favorite now- I thought they were secretly in love with each other and that she would get killed dramatically so that he could claim revenge and cry his mauled heart out after avenging his beloved. It's completely cliché and that's exactly why I expected it, I wasn't too into NY back then.

Some seasons later I find nothing has happened onscreen. Too many hints, nothing tangible. I wonder how long we'll have to wait, but I don't see Smacked becoming real anytime soon.
