Well I'm living with my girlfriend for 5 months now, been a couple for more than a year and it's all great <3 i think it's important so you can see if you really belong together before the "big step" that is marriage. Would be good to decrease divorce.

That is actually true o.O in a time of living together you realize if you can really live together and manage certain things together. Cause if it doesnt work out well in the end at least theres no big disaster about "papers, court, who-gets-which-kid" Its not an assurance of having no divorce later, but its at least a little "experiment" to do for checking how strong your love really is.

Studies have shown that more often couples living together before marriage get divorced, but I think whether it's right or not completely depends on the couple. I'm moving in with my boyfriend before marriage because I need to make sure I like Australia before I become an ex-pat. But not everyone needs that kind of security.
