So your best friend likes the same guy well i say 당신 just tell her what's going on and tell her where 당신 stand. Just tell her that if he (the guy) ever asks one of 당신 out 당신 have to respect her that 당신 will fight for him and not afraid to get ugly. But not ugly enough to ruin your friendship but just enough to show him your and american BADASS and your not afraid to get dirty if 당신 have to. Just tell her that if he asked her out you'd be happy for her even though 당신 wouldn't. Also tell her that if he asked 당신 out of course you'd say yes but you'd want her to be happy for 당신 too! Even if it does kill 당신 a little on the inside.

Another question.....that is oh so cliche. I've been in the same situation. It isn't too fun. I've also been in the opposite position as well....liking my best guy friend. Truly an awkward predicament.
Since 당신 don't like him in that way, my 조언 would be to set him straight. Just explain that 당신 still want to be friends, but nothing more. 당신 don't see him in that way.
