So first of all to state the obvious, if you do like Lindsey and/or Lincus you probably shouldn't be reading this...and if you do read it you shouldn't be taking offense.

Well, most people who know me, know that I really don't like Lindsey and Lincus. And many fans assume the reason is because I'm a hard core Leyton and Peyton fan {okay I admit, maybe that's just a little bit of the reason} But their was also a lot wrong with the couple and character!

Why I don't like Lindsey as a character:
I know a lot of people see Lindsey as this amazing person because she said "no" to Lucas knowing that he was conflicted, which don't get me wrong I'm so grateful she did that because its part of the reason Leyton got together, but people seem to forget all the shit she did before that. One thing I never understood was, in 5x09 why did every one get so pissed off at Peyton for "mocking" the death of Lindsey's dad when Peyton knew nothing about the situation. She had no idea that Lindsey's dad was no longer alive because of cancer. Peyton lost Ellie to cancer, and she knows the pain of losing a parent far too well, we all know P.Sawyer would NEVER mock someone about that on purpose. But then why didn't anyone get angry about the fact that Lindsey made fun of the school shooting. She clearly mocked the fact that Peyton was shot and almost bled to death knowing very well how tragic and sacred that day was to Peyton, yet she used it to her advantage, to make a cheap come back at Peyton...but no one seemed to care about that. Another thing that bothered me was 5x03. Lindsey brings Peyton "lucky" bamboo and Peyton misunderstands the bamboo as Lindsey setting her mark and goes and confronts her, Lindsey then gets really offended by this. But what bothers me is, that at the end of the episode we see Lindsey questioning to Lucas weather she should be worried about Peyton, so to an extent Peyton was actually right, but of course Peyton was seen as the bad guy once again. { But I have to say I love how both times Peyton was the bigger person and went to apologize to Lindsey, when I felt like the second time Lindsey should have apologized to Peyton as well} Moving on in episode 5x06, Peyton admits to not liking Lindsey to Haley in PRIVATE. It was a private conversation between Peyton and Haley that Lindsey was never supposed to hear, but accidentally happened to. I honestly don't see what Peyton did wrong here, she said something she was feeling privately to a friend of hers, and ALL she said was "maybe I just don't like her" one simple line. However, that very episode Lindsey sat there talking about how Peyton had a big mouth and how she was going to kick Peyton's ass at a dinner table filled with people and a complete stranger to Lindsey, plus there was a 5 year old just upstairs that could have easily heard the conversation. I felt like that was just such a low blow. I mean if Lindsey was really that upset couldn't she just have talked to someone in private, but she felt the need to humiliate and insult Peyton at a table full of people. Going back to 5x09, another thing that bothered me about Lindsey was her constant need to rub in Peyton's face that she was the one who was engaged to Lucas and not Peyton. I mean think about it, all Peyton did was make a comment about Lindsey being friends with Haley and Brooke and the first thing Lindsey does is bring up Lucas and rub it in Peyton's face and that's when Peyton starts to retaliate with all of her comments. And lets talk about the famous "man face Lindsey" song that Peyton seems to get a lot of hate for singing. People seem to forget that it was Lindsey who started off the whole song thing by singing a song about Peyton, Peyton was simply just retaliating. Another small detail that bugged me and people seem to look over is 5x08, Lindsey rushing to Brooke's store to announce she's engaged. This just always rubbed me the wrong way because Brook was Peyton's best friend, and it seemed like a really cruel thing for Lindsey to go run off and show Brooke that she got engaged. Not to mention asking Brooke to make her dress, like really? I know its a pretty small detail but it always bugged me.

Why I don't like Lincus:
Okay, so this is shorter and more straight forward lol. The main reason I hated this couple was because Lindsey was so clearly SUCH a rebound for Lucas. I mean just look at all the details. The first time Lucas meets Lindsey is right after his break up with Peyton. His first date with Lindsey, is right after he invites Peyton to his book signing but she doesn't show up. Lindsey asks Lucas to write for months, but as soon as Peyton comes back Lucas begins to write again. When Peyton kisses Lucas, he goes home and proposes to Lindsey {which was so clearly an accident, because I think we can all safely say that if Lindsey hadn't found the ring on her own the idea of proposing would have never even came to Lucas and I think when he started to say "Lindsey that ring..." he was going to tell her it was meant for Peyton but then she started talking about leaving and he panicked and proposed...} anyways, Lucas decides to move up the wedding when Peyton gives him up. Also, Lucas was confronted about weather he still loved Peyton twice, once by Brooke in 5x05 and another time by Peyton in 5x07, and both times he said he needed to go see Lindsey, but he never denied it once. Also, when Haley goes and confronts Lucas about marriage being a big deal, instead of telling her he knows or that he's sure he wants to marry Lindsey {which I feel is the appropriate response} he decides to make a joke. Some other conversations that also really stand out are: Leyton in 5x04 with the entire "he's not good enough for you" bit, no guy just says that to their ex-girlfriend. Lathan in 5x07, I think Nathan made a really good point, Lucas was fighting with Lindsey the entire episode but yet he still seemed to be more worried about Peyton and the rent check. Lincus in 5x07, Lindsey openly admitted that she wanted Lucas to stop being in love with Peyton. Laley in 5x11, clearly there was something in the commet that convinced Haley that Lucas was marrying the wrong girl {and it also happened to convince Lindsey} So I guess in this aspect I did feel sorry for Lindsey. She was in a relationship with a guy who was so clearly not over his ex and that really wasn't her fault.

Anyways, that's my rant. I just want to make it clear and say that I don't think Peyton was innocent in this whole Lindsey drama. She did do and say some things that were inappropriate and unfair towards Lindsey, but what I love about her was that she went and apologized for it all. and it always just bugged me that Lindsey never apologized and never was seen as the bad guy and was always seen as the innocent victim {by a majority of the fans and characters on the show} when in reality she did a lot of wrong and had a lot to be blamed for as well..... Well, hope I didn't offend anyone...like I said this was simply my opinion! I hope you all respect it because i surely respect your opinions:D<3
