But then it ALWAYS kills me when Jack sees the plane fly away </3333

Ughhh such torture Ambulance! I have to acknowledge how bittersweet this moment also was - there's no doubt that Claire, Kate and Sawyer for sure were thinking about all the people that didn't survive, that would never get to go home, and making it particularly hard is the fact that each of them was leaving behind someone they loved - Charlie, Jack & Juliet. It had to be such a war of their emotions, happy that they would FINALLY be done with that insane island, but incredible sadness [and survivors guilt] for those that didn't make it.

But what makes this a happy moment for me is what i already said - THEY'RE FINALLY GOING HOME AND KNOWING THEY WILL NEVER NEED TO RETURN!

And when Jack sees the plane fly overhead in his final moments... ughhhh </3 it's sad that he's dying, but you feel this overwhelming sense of JOY from him - he did it, Jack got his friends off the island! He found his purpose, his reason for coming back, and he did what he needed to do.

{And goodness, it was so satisfying to have such an amazing full-circle closure with Jack's eyes closing, compared to the first moments of the series being his eyes opening}
