Recently, Chinese media outlet Sina Entertainment met up for an interview with EXO\'s Lay and published the exchange on August 28.  During the interview, Lay, the remaining Chinese member of the popular SM boy group, was asked about the others who had now left: Tao, Luhan, and Kris.  

When asked about his thoughts on the members who had left the group for China, Lay said open-mindedly, "If they are happy, then I will give them my blessings.  I hope that they will do well all the way.  However, I will go my own path.  I am very stern when it comes to what I demand of myself.  I do all the things that I can do by continuously working very hard," strongly suggesting he will choose a different path from the ones his former members had chosen.

A sensitive question of whether a portion of his fans want him to return to China was thrown at him.  Continuing to answer with frankness and composure, Lay stated, "If I were to speak honestly, I don\'t think I understand the problem of going back or not going back. Am I not promoting in China right now?  My members also say that they miss me when they\'re unable to see me.  On top of that, I left when I was 17 years old and came back now, and I am still a Chinese person.  My heart is always here."

Being the only Chinese member in EXO right know it\'s really hard and takes a lot of pressures. Everybody really pay attention to you and keep an eye on you the most since all the Chinese member scandal. But seriously though, Thank God we have someone like Lay on EXO. I\'m fully give my respect for him. He\'s a person with determination, loyalty, and integrity without being like an arrogant person, instead he\'s giving his blessing for them. I\'m really sure he will find success on no matter what he choose (even if he\'s not on EXO member). BRAVO to you LAY!!

Well said lay!!! He\'s my #1 bias in exo .. I hope the remaining exo members are really treating him well ..

my child my love my husband my everything stop beating around the bush and just say that youve also had it as krislutao and SM is controlling you to say this. yixing doesnt not seem close with any of the members he looks out of place in their interviews. the only members that actually seems to care for him are baekhyun and jongdae. 

I truly admire his strength and determination. He is so full of wisom.

Lol learned from those who have gone before him, I see.. he\'s a pro alright. He seems to be a person who knows how to control his emotion as well (unlike the other particular person who lashed out on social media & interviews..) lol idk why fangirls don\'t want that question to be asked. Everyone knows someone will bound to ask sooner or later, and it\'s better to just get it over with. Also, he couldn\'t have given better answer than that. Kudos for him, especially knowing the pressure that comes from all sides.

He\'s the only one I like in exo.. too bad kai always overshadowed him when they dance.. hope he get more exposure 

Tbh I don\'t really like Kai (I think he\'s overrated, but thats just my opinion I guess lol). Plus he always looks so smug when they dance, it gets uncomfortable to watch lol EXO-M back then has smooth-er style, while EXO-K was more into "popping" it. But never mind now, since practically half of EXO-M is not in the group anymore.

I like Kai but I feel he tries too hard to stand out when he performs. When I see him its like I hear him yell "Look only at me!!!"

I like Kai too but I feel like he and lay are on the same level in dancing .. Its just that Kai do Kore sexy expressions to get viewers attention while lay is effortlessly chill .. I hope lay will get more exposure .. He\'s singing is average and his dancing skills are so great ..

@darlingdella I highly doubt he\'s trying to stand out too much. When you\'re in a group, you naturally try your very best at the parts you\'re given. You can tell Kai and Lay and Sehun to do the exact same movements and they\'ll do it three different ways, all trying equally hard. Kai knows how to grab attention, he has a natural charisma and fluidity when he dances. Lay\'s all about the power and a hell lot of hips. Sehun\'s more precision and sharp movements. When EXOK initially debuted, no matter how hard I tried, there were certain moments where I was always just drawn to Kai because of his charismatic stage presence when he dances. He got a lot of attention but the boy deserved it.

A lot of respect for this young man, he handled it very well. 

I swear to god, I\'m so fucking proud of our angel bunny Lay! He\'s so mature and humble omg ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

He is a PRO! Those were very nice answers and showcases his maturity. Whatever he chooses to do, I will support him all the way! :)
