Love them both

I like both of them for different reasons (don't get me wrong, I love the Harry Potter series), but I think overall J.R.R. Tolien is my favourite.

I like both of them, but I can't deceive J.K. Rowling <3 She is my IDOL, MY HERO, MY FAVOURITE AUTHOR IN THE WHOLE WORLD. I love LOTR, but I simply CAN'T LIVE without Harry Potter.

It is a complete different calibre. How can you compare a great scholar and a housewife who started with nice children books and ended with complete rubbish?

Tolkien, differently from the Rowling, has created a whole and well structured universe; there is a complex cosmopoietical work behind the Silmarillion as well as behind his whole production

J.K. Rowling copied MUCH of what Tolkien created. Although Rowling is still an amazing author, I think Tolkien is better.

Tolkien's works were the most amazing bookies ever. I constantly dream/daydream about his world. Harry Potter was OK, but bit too childish for my taste.

Tolkiens world is just the best. Harry potter is pretty cool but you cant deny legolas's face. HE is just amazing and i shame that a man of such talent couldn't make it to see his glory days.
