Same! I'm from cork and my cousin thinks it should be the capital as it's the biggest county!

No. Dublin should be the capital. Cork is the biggest county, but Dublin has the biggest population. Also, Waterford is the oldest county in Ireland. We aren't getting recognized for that.

When I describe some facit of Ireland I always say "except for Dublin" because there is Dublin and there is the rest of Ireland. So I would say Cork is the capital of the rest of Ireland.
