Why I can't add 비디오 to iTunes 도서관, 라이브러리 to 업로드 them to my iPod?

MP4 is a media container format which can be encoded with many different video and audio codecs like DivX, Xvid, H.264, H.263, MPEG-4, AC3, WMA, AAC, etc. While iTunes only support few video and audio codec like MPEG-4 video codec and AAC audio codec; H.264 video codec and AAC audio codec. If the MP4 video is encode with iTunes unsupported video 또는 audio codec, iTunes will not add and play it.

it applies to importing all kinds of 비디오 to itunes including avi, wmv, flv, mkv, mpg and more

당신 have to enable video syncing. click on your 아이팟 in itunes then there should be videos. click on that and their should be a checkbox saying "Sync 비디오 To (name of your ipod)'s iPod ".
i know this because first i was an 아이팟 nano user now im an 아이팟 touch user. if still not able to add 비디오 then yes it is most likely 당신 have to download a converter

This one is free, and does require 업데이트 but it works really well. Then you'll need to convert the files to MP4 with the converter, to do this click "Add Videos" then select "Video" under output type, and select mp4. 다음 당신 will go into your computer's "Music" folder and select iTunes, then under iTunes select " iTunes Media" under that select "automatically add to iTunes" copy and paste the converted files there and they will automatically be placed into your iTunes "movies" section. its nothing , not with mp4 , converter, etc etc, but just instal quicktime player in ur pc

I prefer using a dedicated tool for this purpose. For instance, VideoDrive for Mac analyses your videos, converts them if necessary, adds metadata 의해 searching for descriptions and artwork online, and puts them in iTunes. No fuss. I have a lot of 비디오 and cannot be bothered with doing all these steps myself. I found a screencast online for it, but it seems a bit outdated.

Do a right click on the video and there should be a "create an iPod 또는 iPhone version" and it should start converting it. I can't grantee it but that's worked for me so far.

iPod plays 비디오 of certain format only.. U just need a real nice converter.. I use iTransPod which is very easy to use.. its an iTunes plugin.. its as easy as adding a file to iTunes..Click on it select a file. it will convert and add it to iTunes.. 당신 jus have say which file u want..

sorry this isnt an answer but i have the same problem

like pretty much everyone said, it has to be a certain type.. i believe it has to be an MPEG4.. 당신 can go to www.keepvid.com and save them onto ur computer too. if 당신 do then 당신 need to download the 2nd link that it shows. just go to 유튜브 and see if they have the video on there and just copy the 주소 (i learned that the hard way so thought i'd mention that lol) and paste it into a 검색 bar thats on the site. pretty easy and 당신 can do as many as u want :]

No one understood the problem. We know we need to convert the file and we did it.
I converted 8 episodes and everything went just fine, iTunes added them in the 도서관, 라이브러리 but when I got to episodes 9, it got converted but I get the message (with Videora) that it can not be added to iTunes library. Even if trying to add it manually, nothing happens. I used the same method for all episodes so obviously, it's not the way I do it that is wrong.

well firstly download 유튜브 downloader then use it to download your 비디오 and after download 당신 can convert them righaway to any format like iphone..then add them to your itunes library..sync them all.. its fixed.

well for starters 당신 have to make sure that 당신 have the syncing 영화 button checked b/c if 당신 dont 당신 cant really sync movies!!!!AND HOW TO DO THAT is simple do to the place where it says " " 아이팟 and click on "movies"on the 상단, 맨 위로 of the window and then it says Sync 영화 check that off and there your 영화 are ready to sync

the thing is iTunes is retarded. every once in a while it'll just decide to tell 당신 to go f*&k yourself. what i recommend is checking out copy trans. i recommend getting the paid version if 당신 already have vids, when your 아이팟 syncs again it might erase whatever 당신 added thru copy trans

Have 당신 gotten an answer to this yet? I have the same problem, it sounds like everyone else (except Narmzi) is missing the point - recent 비디오 I'm trying to add are the same as the old ones but they won't upload, it has nothing to do with converting them. What's changed about iTunes?!?

Itunes sux!! theres an alternative free program called CopyTrans Control, its a free download, 구글 it then download it, its just like itunes but better! 당신 can add music, videos, but first 당신 need to convert your video files to MP4, and theres a free program called www.convertavitomp4.com, its a free program as well, once its downloaded, open it up and convert any movie file format such as avi. mkv, divx ect, and this tool does it for 당신 and converts your video files to MP4, then 당신 can drag n drop your MP4 movie file in Copy Trans manager( I forgot to mention when 당신 download CopyTrans Control, open it and select CopyTrans Manager, it detects what ever iDevice 당신 have connected, and it supports all aples products) then once 당신 convert your video files 당신 just drag n drop anywhere in CopyTrans Manager, same goes with adding music, 당신 just drag n drop, but after adding each file, weather its 음악 또는 a video, click the update button at the 상단, 맨 위로 right, its in bold writing, 'Update" This free program kicks iTunes 나귀, 엉덩이 in everyway, dont forget to convert your video files with the program mentioned to MP4 and voila, there on your ipod, 아이팟 touch, iphone, ipad!!!!

I had that same problem the other 일 and it was driving me nuts! I found that my pc actually had a video to 아이팟 converter. 당신 can get it from link where they have a free download to convert your 비디오 to the ipod. Just make sure when 당신 have downloaded it and are getting ready to convert, that 당신 select the right 아이팟 type to convert it to!

I had the same problem a few days ago. All I had to do was to install quicktime and that solved the problem for me.

Your 질문 is somewhat confusing which is why so many are answering with the standard video conversion answer, but if 당신 are suggesting that even though you're adding valid iTunes files to your 도서관, 라이브러리 and iTunes is not accepting the files, 당신 need to have Quicktime installed and running. If for some reason you've shut down 또는 uninstalled Quicktime, 당신 won't be able to add files to your 도서관, 라이브러리 which you've always been able to add.

I had this problem just now.

Even though my file was in the right format .mp4, i got the exact same error. So you'll need to convert it the into the mp4 format that iTunes accepts....

So I went to download.cnet.com
downloaded Xilisoft (free and will convert the first 3mins only)
connect your iPad to your computer
make sure the 프로필 is "iPad - H.264 Video(1)"
go to the pic that looks like a mobile phone and click on the 애로우 near it - choose "output to iPad"
make sure iTunes is closed
then after you've dragged the file in the window, right click on the green dot on the RHS in the status column and choose "Convert Selected Item(s)"

and voila :)

Use AVS Video converter. In AVS video converter select to convert to MP4. Worked fine. AVS will also make the file smaller most times.
