Why does everyone hate Kikyo so much?

no offense but none of what u said about kikyo is absolutely WRONG WRONG WRONG.

kikyo is cold-hearted and only cares about herself. for example: when kagome saved kikyo's life after she was poisoned with naraku's miasma, kikyo just asked whether 또는 not she saw anything important and didn't even thank kagome. and for your information, kikyo half-suffocated kagome when kikyo tried to bring 이누야사 down to hell with her, so she in fact DID NOT give kagome her one and only love. T_T
so i one-hundred percent despise kikyo for those reasons above. :D thank 당신 and have a nice 일 :))

I would think that the Kikyo-haters hate her because to them, she was in the way of Kagome and InuYasha's relationship. Kikyo has never shown any emotion, so she would be harder to understand than many others. She also tried to drag InuYasha to hell, and for most those who haven't experienced love(not high school crush 또는 anything, but actual love), they would only see her as pure evil.

I think it's also because Kikyo hates Kagome enough that she 'doesn't care' whatever happens to her, many Kagome 팬 would get offended and Kikyo would have once again be left alone. I also think that the way Kikyo did things, it was a little hard to understand, like how she was giving Naraku the sacred jewel.

Kikyo's story with InuYasha was never given until late in the series, and it was late enough so that those who misunderstood Kikyo hated her enough that even though they realize it wasn't evil, it's too late to give her a 초 chance.

This is how I think people who hate Kikyo would think, but I don't really understand their feelings too well since I like Kikyo 더 많이 than Kagome.

Still, I think some people get overboard... on YouTube, everyone's like 'I just wanna rip her head off' and I think everyone needs to calm down. Whether 당신 hate Kikyo 또는 not, she is just made up character from an anime, there's no need to be so mad about it.

I think people hate her mainly because they think she's getting in the way of Kagome and inuyasha's relationship, which is retarded. So basically 이누야사 is the reason for BOTH of their haters. Also retarded. They hate her because "Oh golly gee, she tried to kill Inuyasha!" Well, she thought he betrayed her, which he probably would've anyway without Naraku's help. And they hate Kagome because "The 암캐, 암 캐 tells poor Inu to sit!" HE F*CKIN DESERVES IT!!! 이누야사 is a manipulative jerk. The hatred for Kagome and kikyo lies entirely in retarded shipping wars. So it's all Inuyasha's fault they get hated on. But oh, nobody ever hates on poor, perfect little Inuyasha!!! It's bullshit. 이누야사 deserves way 더 많이 hate than he gets. I'm like the only person who hates him.

I think the reason most people hate her is because they 사랑 이누야사 and Kagome together, so they find Kikyo as a nuisance who keeps getting in their way. That's all I can think of...

Kikyo is a constantly bashed 아니메 character, though she seems to be perfect. She is considered a bete noire because people prefer to see 이누야사 and Kagome together. And the resurrection of Kikyo and Inuyasha's persistence to see her, everytime she's around hurts Kagome. People, overtime, find themselves emotionally attached to the characters of something fictious and eventually develop grudge against someone who tries to screw what people want to have. Kikyo is defiantly a required character, people just don't want her ruining inu n kag's lives, even though she has no intention. They see (and me too) Kagome as a little gullible, naiive, cute, innocent and the one who deserves 이누야사 because she was always at his side. Kikyo didn't trust him enough. And my personal reasoning: Kikyo wanted 이누야사 to become a human, but Kagome accepted him as a hanyou. True 사랑 means acceptance. Kikyo tried to drag him to hell, kagome can never think of avenging from him, she's even living two lives, acknowledging that she can't have him. kagome took all sorts of aches for him, yet can't hurt him. Kikyo did 애로우 him through.
The abhorrence for Kikyo is what people do out of emotion, they don't want to reason it, and I am inclusive. Guess, it depends on maturity.

I don't feel like getting sucked into the arguments...I'm just going to say that most people are too immature to understand her story. They 사랑 InuYashaxKagome, and all they see is Kikyo getting in between them. They don't see a character who met a tragic end, they don't see how she provides conflict between InuYashaxKagome and therefore makes the story BETTER, they just act like they've gotta 또는 something. Like the 'Team Edward/Team Jacob' Twilight bullshit. Yes, it's stupid bullshit.

I could understand if she were a character someone simply didn't like, which happens (sometimes, there are just characters 당신 just don't like). I appreciate that people have different opinions. But mostly, people just hate her because she's a supposed obstacle in InuYashaXKagome's relationship. I personally 사랑 Kikyo, and I'm grateful to her for being in the story. I just laugh at the pathetic ones and 옮기기 on with my life, loving Kikyo and the series as I go. =)

I personally dont hate Kikiyo but she annoys me 의해 her cold attitude. I know that she went through a hard time but seriously, cant she be a little nicer. When Kagome saved her life she wasn't thankful at all. That's sad. And even though Kagome did nothing wrong to HER she's cruel to Kagome. And through all of this Kagome is understanding about the pain she is going through. Kikyo trys to act mature but is still jealous of Kagome and won't give him up even when she knows she dead and being with her would only hurt Inuyasha. And that's the main thing that bothers me. It's not that I think she is getting in the way of 이누야사 and Kagome's relationship but that she doesn't even wish for the one she loved to be happy.

Rest assured, I don't like either Kikyo 또는 Kagome, so I don't dislike either because of their relationship to Inuyasha.

I actually hate Kikyo less than Kagome (whom I have burning hatred for), but it's not for a very flattering reason.
I can't hate Kikyo much because I don't understand her at all. I just don't get why she does what she does 또는 feels what she feels. It's just so mind-bogglingly...I can't even say stupid, it's just so bizarre!
She finds out 이누야사 didn't betray her and that Naraku (I think that's his name) set up the whole death-thing. Nothing changes. She still tries killing him, talking about how much she was hurt 의해 him, and it...it just doesn't make sense. I kept waiting for her to explain another thing that made her angry, 또는 maybe to find out Kikyo was just an evil demon in disguise 또는 something, I just couldn't 덮개, 랩 my head around someone who could still angst and be angry about something they KNOW, and have been told quite bluntly didn't happen.
It's not so much hatred I feel for her than frustration and irritation. What is she doing? Why? I don't get it, it's so...I want to say retarded simply for how incomprehensible her motives are.
Twenty episodes after she discovered everything had been a lie and nothing changed. What was the point in telling her? It's like she doesn't hear 또는 interact with anything in front of her, too busy being an 이모 for absolutely no reason.
I honestly think the only reason they kept her around was for 이누야사 to have a hard time deciding between either Kagome 또는 Kikyo.

If Kikyo's...just plain EXISTENCE confuses me, I don't even want to start on 이누야사 finding either attractive.

I honestly don't like Kikyo a lot and I disagree a LOT with what you're saying. I would have been fine with Kikyo's life and death, but when she was revived so many times, it kind of got on my nerves. For example 당신 meet a friend in this really "odd" way and her old friend decides to come back so 당신 lose your only friend because of how much time this person spends with her old friend. Tell me 당신 wouldn't get the least bit annoyed. "Kagome is just a burden to InuYasha who's only good for finding jewel shards" why'd 당신 continue watching the show if 당신 hate her? And the sit commands she makes are a big part of the show, from the very first episode we're shown this command that keeps the fearful half-demon InuYasha in line. Kagome is extremely useless she's only keeping 이누야사 from destroying a village 또는 hundreds, and the times when she saved InuYasha's life useless 정크 oml. My point is she does a lot for the show, although she's not as strong as the other demon characters, she is a huge HUGE part. As in she's one of the two characters the show is based around. She yells at him too a lot yeah she's a human can she now not have any emotions, people like Kagome a lot more, because she seems 더 많이 human. Kikyo was perfect, innocent, pure, but then she comes back as someone who at first wants to kill InuYasha for a misunderstanding and until a long time after her revival she refuses to listen to any of it. That's why people hate Kikyo, that's why I hate Kikyo. She's a nice girl and I'd respect her story if she didn't come and mess things up for Kagome who barely has a chance in this world, this world which has become her life.

Super late to the party – like years 또는 so late-

Wanted to put my two cents in...Er...Multiple cents in. I 사랑 Kikyo, she's independent, powerful, and don't take shite, not even Naraku's. I also like Kagome for helping 이누야사 to not be a little salty bundle of fur.

1. She's been reincarnated. She is Kagome, Kagome is Kikyo. Does no one understand how reincarnation works here? If she'd just stay dead, she'd be with Inuyasha. I 사랑 how people hate one 또는 the other, which is basically hating them both. THEY'RE TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN.

2. She can't let go of a grudge. I've been guilty of this and let me tell you, it's NOT healthy. It pushes people away and shows how selfish and narrow-minded 당신 are. It's hurtful to 당신 and others. But it also doesn't help that the only thing embodying that shell of Kikyo's is all the hurt, rage, and emotional turmoil she went through 50 years ago.

3. It's mostly Inuyasha's fault. He can't let go of the stinkin' past and 옮기기 on either. He has to hop between the clay body of his reincarnated girlfriend, and his actual reincarnated girlfriend. He, like most people it seems, also doesn't understand how reincarnation works.

4. At the end of the day. She's a character. Don't think because people hate her that her 'life is getting worse'. She doesn't exist, neither does 이누야사 또는 Kagome. Let it go, don't bash people for their opinion because it's not yours. Be mature.

if 당신 think about it kikyo wants 이누야사 to die because she wants 이누야사 for herself i think that is selfish. 이누야사 dose not want to die so why make him and she wants kagome to die as well. kagome halps 이누야사 she saved his life in a lote of episodes i knows kikyo did but kagome did not kill him and i no naraku put 이누야사 and kikyo agents each other but even though kikyo no that she wants 이누야사 to die. that is why kikyo need to go.

Because people prefer Kagome. Her lovable down-to-earth personality makes her likable. Fangirls can easily compair themselves with her.A lot of people think Kikyo is in the way of Inu/Kag from happening. Also Kikyo has a "strong&silent" quality that intimidates people. She talks with little emotion but her words are powerful. I personally like Kagome... but I respect Kikyo now because when I was 12 I thought she was a bitch:)

I know , i am really late (and nobody will read this) but truthfully i dont hate Kikiyo, but the reason i prefer Kagome is because Kikiyo wanted to change Inyuasha into a human, though Kagome was able to accept him as a half breed, yet Kikiyo wanted to change him to human (full) DONT GET ME WRONG. I DO NOT HATE KIKIYO. I just wanted to state why i prefer (remember i said PREFER) Kagome.

Because Kikyo is only driven 의해 hate and angry on Inu Yasha and won't believe him. Her soul has become dark. Plus, she now takes the 로스트 souls of girls and not letting them 십자가, 크로스 over!

I'm totally late to the party, but I felt the need to add my thoughts anyway.
I wouldn't say I hate Kikyo, mostly because she's a fictional character, but she is one of my least 가장 좋아하는 characters in all anime. Throughout the series, I just always felt that she was rather cold. In the flashbacks we see of her, she seems like a lovely person, though maybe a tad unaccepting. As a rule, I generally just hate that in a person. Even in the flashbacks we see, she always had that feel about her. The first time I ever watched the scene where she asks 이누야사 to become human, I was like, "So 당신 사랑 him, but 당신 want to use this gem to change a fundamental part of his being so he is both 더 많이 suitable for you, and 당신 can have the life 당신 want?" That just put me off. Also, the fact that she refused to accept her death and insisted on remaining with the living soley for vengence bothered me as well. It boils down to, though she was very kind to children and villagers, it seemed like she refused to accept the person she "loved."
I also just like Kagome much better than Kikyo. Kagome was just the 더 많이 open minded and kind one, in my opinion. Kagome was not necessarily a burden, she motivated 이누야사 to be better, both in battle and as a person.... hanyou.... however 당신 want to phrase that. And yes, she tells him to sit all the time, but he usually deserves it.
All in all, Kikyo never sat well with me, and I honestly feel like she put so much into hiding her emotions, that she forgot what they truly felt like. I've never liked Kikyo, I never will. She's just one of those characters that I always felt like I should feel bad for, but never could because I didn't think they needed 또는 deserved pity.

If 당신 ask me it's all misplaced hate. I felt that way too for a moment but I realized it wasn't Kikyo I disliked, but InuYasha for choosing Kikyo over Kagome. Even though Kikyo's presence is what causes the problem it is InuYasha who indulges in it and in the end it is his decision that determines the fate of he and Kagome. I personally think that Kikyo really isn't the same person he fell in 사랑 with and if he really wants to be with her then he would go die with her forever in eternity like she ultimately wants instead of sticking around and Kagome, but obviously even though he is still holding on to his feeling for Kikyo he still feels something for Kagome 또는 else he'd never have the feelings, like jealousy, for her.

Well, I'm the opposite of most people here. I hate Kagome, and really like Kikyo. Kagome is a "damsel in distress" character (in which I hate), and even though she can protect herself, she chooses not to. She complains about nothing, she always brings a burden upon Inuyasha, and she never seems to not get into to trouble! Seriously, talk about a useless character. She never helps out villages like Kikyo does, and relies on her 프렌즈 to help the villagers while she free loads. She doesn't know how to say anything but "INUYASHA! INUYASHA! KYAAA! I NEED HELP BECAUSE I CAN PROTECT MYSELF BUT I CHOOSE NOT TOO AND BECAUSE I'M REALLY LAZY".

On the other hand, Kikyo cares for villagers and plays with children. She is an independent soul who doesn't cry for someone's help for no reason what so ever, and she is 더 많이 than just a 사랑 interest in the show (like Kagome is). Ugh, sorry for the rant, but Kagome is probably the only 아니메 character I'll ever despise.

Easy, I hate her because she tried to kill Kagome and tried to drag 이누야사 down to hell with her. Kagome saw Kikyo 키스 이누야사 yet she still helps him out and also Kikyo helped Naraku out 의해 giving all the shards that Kagome and 이누야사 collected. For the people that say kikyo and inuyashas 사랑 was so easily tainted..think about it, it wasn't a he said she said kinda thing. right as kikyo was walking with the jewel naraku appears as 이누야사 and digs his claws in her back then mocks her and makes off with the jewel...... who wouldn't be upset? I 사랑 both the characters...kagome is inuyashas 2nd chance to be with kikyo I mean yes kagome dosnt have the old memories of the first kikyo but she does have her soul which is pretty much the most important part of a person as well as kikyos 사랑 for inuyasha....and that in a way makes kagome the "real" kikyo 또는 the kikyo that once was that was full of 사랑 for 이누야사 and the current kikyo is the emotion and memories manifested in a shell but her roll is important...shes around to develope kagomes character and we can understand her better not that its just ok heres this chick who has this soul who belongs to this other person kikyo is a tragedy that turns into a happy ending because she actually does get to be with him as a reincarnation and plus kikyo is the only character that gives kagome depth they both give each other depth in fact and 당신 cant have one without the other they are 2 sides of the same coin..just my 2 cents I could be wrong just an imo kinda thing

I actually like Kagome x 이누야사 better. But 당신 know, I don't think Kikyou is a bad person. In fact, I 사랑 her. But I guess we can't change other people's minds and opinions.
Kikyou even sacrificed her life so that the Shikon Jewel would be driven out of the world, but her regrets made her bound with the world, causing her to be revived.
Also, when Kohaku (Sango's sister) almost died, Kikyou chose to revive Kohaku instead of killing Naraku, her archenemy.
So yes, she is kind and caring, and I don't hate her, but 60% of the people like Kagome x 이누야사 better than Kikyo x Inuyasha. :/

I dont hate Kikyo but I did once before why? because she was so mean to Kagome even if Kagome was nice and never told 이누야사 even when he asked, Kikyo was mean in the begining but she changed during the end and i like her now so yea thats my anser.

It's really due to stupid reasons.
Kikyo is a character that 당신 need to actually need to understand 의해 looking at her story. She is thought to be cold-hearted. Which she isn't. She has/had a duty. To be the miko of her village. None of 당신 seem to notice that she smiles and is kind the little children. Hating her because she gets in the way of InuKag is stupid. Honestly,the only one at fault is 이누야사 himself. He keeps luring them both on and hurting both their feelings due to him not being able to decide. He still loves both of them though. 당신 can't possibly understand Kikyo though,when 당신 don't look deeper into her character. She's not like what everyone says. Oh..and I despise when people compare Kikyo and kagome. Kikyo doesn't look similar to her and is prettier,smarter,kinder and actually not annoying. Tell me something. How is Kikyo annoying? Because she supposedly gets in the way of "Inukag?" If so then that's the stupidest reason to hate her. Honestly,character wise...Kikyo is a way better character in depth wise.

Well... I don't hate Kikyo, but I'll tell 당신 why my friend is so obsessed with Kikyo.
She said Kikyo's bad, because she thinks Inuyasha's the one who killed her. I said to her, yeah, 당신 are right, but I said Kikyo's nice too, but... She becomes bad because 이누야사 likes to pick all the pieces of that, um... what is Kagome's wearing again? She thinks it that way. She is obsessed with Kikyo. But I like Kikyo and Kagome, in short, both. Including, Sango! Why? Because, she really 사랑 and cares about her little brother.

I don't like Kikyo for quite a few reasons. It maybe becuase I prefer kagome. Their difference is Kagome would help Kikyo even if it was at the cost of herself 또는 being with Inuyasha. Kikyo wouldn't try to help Kagome and on occasion would have killed Kagome if 이누야사 had not interrupted. Kikyo is cold. She doesn't truly 사랑 Inuyasha. If 당신 사랑 someone 당신 want their happiness. She wants 이누야사 to go to hell with her becuase she feels he owes her that. Kikyo is dead and it has been expressed multiple times that she does not belong on the earth and can never be with Inuyasha. She is the type that is not happy so all else must suffer. Do I feel bad that she was reawakened only to find she can't be with her love....sure but she is dead. 옮기기 on to the afterlife and let others be in peice. What I don't get is how people dislike Kagome. She never purposely interfered. She was destined to go to 이누야사 and free him. She is not a homewrecker and if ever told to butt out she would. She is kind and bubbly. So i don't get kikyo 팬 who hate kagome....

I 사랑 both Kikyou and Kagome so it's hard to answer, but i think they hate her because InuYasha is always choosing her over Kagome and her rather cold attitude towards Kagome. To be honest, Kikyou is a woman too mature for her age, she is smart and cunning, and it was her intelligence ( when giving Naraku the shards) that made people hate her, cause they can't understand her. I used to dislike her before, cause i thought she is a nuisance to InuKag, but now, i just 사랑 her character, and the only one i dislike in this 사랑 triangle, is InuYasha instead.

Okay, first off, the Kikyou hater thing is so stupid and just an unnecessary excuse. It is also old. I dislike Kikyou because she tried to change 이누야사 for her own personal fitting. Also i should add that she knew that it was Naraku that portrayed himself as 이누야사 and cut her down...but no..she did not want to believe that, she still wanted to keep onto her hatred of 이누야사 and try to make a fool of Naraku..for no apparent reason. If anything she is cold and self centered...and no..she did not fully accept her fate and she wouldn't give up Kagome's soul.

But Kikyou does have an kind heart...when she was alive and still do now...but if she is a Miko..wouldn't it had unsettled her to be taking the souls of people that wished to be judged rather than bounce around inside of an clay body? I would be furious if some supposedly Miko took my soul and was keeping her clay body alive for her own self-fish needs and desires to be alive...then again i understand her wanting to take up an opportunity to live again..but it is not justified that people that want to 옮기기 on into the other-world is staying trapped when they want to be free..she may be very important and a key role, but her selfishness and refusing to face her fate 또는 rest in peace throws me off a bit. But if there is ANYONE people should be mad at for hurting Kagome, it is Inuyasha...why? Because no one put a gun to his head and told him to go see Kikyou 또는 to mistaken Kagome to be her when he knows Kikyou and Kagome are not even the same person. And i actually do not see the comparison however these are my opinions..so sue me! >:D

It's not that I hate Kikyo and 사랑 Kagome, it's just that Jolting made it hard to like her. Even during her first life she was difficult to like. Yes she was a priestess and yes she protected the village and the sacred jewel; but she was still selfish. Take Inuyasha's feelings for her for example, she wanted to use that to change which he was so that she could lead a normal life even though that wasn't his wish. And for her being so in 사랑 with him, she was so quick to believe he betrayed him without looking for explanations. Not even going to dwell on how she tried to drag him to hell during her 초 "life" just so he could lice the same existence as she did. Furthermore the way she treated Kagome was abominable. Kagome went out of her way to be kind and helpful to Jolting despite the physical and emotional trauma it caused her and yet Kikyo treated her coldly and with disregard. She was always ready to sacrifice Kagome's life as long as 이누야사 was ok, yet Kagome always saved her just so 이누야사 wouldn't suffer emotionally. The only time I had any real positive feelings for Kikyo was in the Final Act when she finally died for good.

Okay, I believe it's time for me to clear the air, Kikyo was a priestess that was restricted from any freedom, she didn't want to change InuYasha, he wanted to be normal and Kikyo wanted to be with him. It's not like Kikyo forced it upon him, he wanted to be with her. When Kikyo was resurrected, she felt so many negative emotions and when she realized her duty, she felt to go alone. Kikyo is also a human being, she has the right to have confusing emotions and then learn from those mistakes. For those who blame InuYasha, consider the fact that he 로스트 his mother at an early age, and had to fend for himself, how in the world do 당신 think he would understand women, if no one was there to explain it. Kagome, honestly is a selfish, ditsy brat, in battle she just stands there 99% of the time 또는 screaming for InuYasha like a crazed banshee. She yells at him for being with Kikyo, when he has full right to be with her because InuYasha and Kagome are not a "couple" as of yet. I also refuse to see InuKag as an actual couple because they don't talk, they constantly scream at each other, they never try to work out their problems. The fact the MirSan a better developed couple is overshadowed 의해 this sickens me. Kagome also has no development at all, i would forgive all of her flaws, if there was development, but she stays her bratty self in the end. While we see Kikyo grow into the kind, beautiful, loving woman she truly is.

I think chicks tend to like kagome because they can identify with her 더 많이 on an emotional level. I'm a dude so I can speak from a different point of view. Kikyo is 의해 far the better woman. She's noble, not self serving, and generally a lot less annoying. Kagome is constantly jealous and displays this in the most infuriating manner. Girls like kagome because they are like kagome, they are weak and in need of strength. They want to feel needed but they also want to need. Ever notice how kagome is constantly trying to change inuyasha? Kikyo simply took him as he was, and they were truly equals in love.

I guess the reason people hate Kikyo is because she gets in the way of 이누야사 and Kagome. The thing is though, she's awesome. She just has some disadvantages. First of all, she lived at a time 50 years ago. Obviously there were some behavioral differences. Also I think the reason no one understands her is because she lived during that time and was a priestess. She had no one to help her. She was on her own. That's why she does things without explanation.

Another disadvantage for her is that when she was revived, her soul had already reincarnated in Kagome. That's why she only got back her hatred for Inuyasha. She became a vengeance hungry monstrosity. That's the version of her I don't like. But later she changes into her normal calm self. And later in the story 당신 see her full backstory and realize she's had her share of problems too.

What I don't understand is the people who say she should not have been reincarnated. My 가장 좋아하는 part of the show involves her. She adds depth to it. Without her, it's just a human and a demon going around gathering stuff and eventually getting married. Yep. So... yeah.

In the beginning I liked Kikyo but after everything I just can't stand her!
1. She couldn't look past her own duty and truly 사랑 이누야사 the way she should have. She immediately assumed that Naraku was 이누야사 and didn't even try to figure out why he acted so strange the night before I mean she works with demons all the time she shouldv'e at least realized that ONE out of the thousands she killed might use her feelings to get revenge and to make it seem like Inuyasha, WHO I might add actually noticed something was up when she(Naraku) said half-demon instead of Inuyasha, was trying to steal the Sacred Jewel.
2. She's tried to kill Kagome and 이누야사 on SEVERAL occasions and yes I do understand that she later became 더 많이 kind but even when BOTH 이누야사 and Kagome tried to explain everything to her she said she couldn't let go of her hatred and tried to drag 이누야사 down into Hell with her! I'm sorry but NO she does not get the right to steal his 심장 and drag him to Hell with her just because she ONCE loved him.
3. She can't even be gracious until the very end and let Kagome have 이누야사 for Heaven's sake! I mean look at all that Kagome has done for her and let her even have him and gave her and him time, space, moments, and even went so far as to save her on MULTIPLE occasions just to make 이누야사 happy now what the hell has this Kikyo done for Kagome except treat her coldly and even tried to KILL her on several occasions!! I'm sorry but 이누야사 does NOT deserve to have an evil cold woman like that to deal with!!
4. Oh and another thing... SHE'S FREAKING DEAD!!!!!!! She died(a very noble albeit) death! She was reincarnated and yet she can't let go of her own hate long enough to realize SHE SHOULD DIE!!
5. I was okay with her for a while even though her presence kept hurting poor Kagome and yes she has her flaws believe me I know but seriously Kagome is giving up everything just for Inuyasha's happiness even though she's madly in 사랑 with him she's self sacrificing FOR HIM and what has clay kikyo done that could even come close to that? NOTHING that's what! So for God's sake give it up Kikyo 당신 should've just died and let Kagome be happy with Inyasha and 이누야사 be happy with Kagome a LONG FREAKING TIME AGO!!!!
6. But the one thing I just can't get over.... UGH!! Why couldn't they have just let her die like SHE SHOULD HAVE!!! All she freaking does is cause problems seriously there's nothing she can do that Kagome can't do!!! I was angry, I hated her for what she did to 이누야사 and Kagome but I could've forgave it all if they had just let her die!!!!! 이누야사 could've moved on with Kagome everyone could've saved the world and Kikyo would've eventually been avenged!!??? What's so bad about that!?!? Yet they had to drag it out and hurt Kagome and 이누야사 더 많이 and 더 많이 and for WHAT I ask you!?!?! Thank 당신 and I hope 당신 may now understand why I'm just not into Kikyo! I hope this answer the Kikyo hate question! :)

i think they hate kikyo cuz the ending is inu and kagome togather so the makikyon characters are kikyonu and kagome why would they bother looking at others if they 사랑 이누야사 well that goes for girls i 사랑 kikyo as inuyashas whife i dont like kagome she is the jelous type i cryed when kikyo died :'( but i have to get over it sens kagome is kikyo's recarnation than kikyo will be with 이누야사 too cuz kagome has kikyo's soul anyways the reason they hate kikyo is mostely cuz they dont like her and inu togather 또는 maybe i should say cuz they already know she wont be with him (sorry for miss spells some my computer keys arent working sorry)

Honestly, the main reason why I dislike is because she is as constant nuisance to 이누야사 and Kagome's relationship. However, I DO NOT hate Kikyo. I just think that 이누야사 doesn't belong with her, because their relationship was too easy to tear apart.

This may not be a good answer, but then again this is just my opinion:

It's true that everyone hates her because she gets in the way between Kagome and InuYasha, however expressing my own opinion aside I don't actually have anything against her nor is she my least 가장 좋아하는 character- in fact she's one of my few 상단, 맨 위로 favorites among InuYasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo. Oh! And Kaede as well! How can I forget her?? XD

Anywhom the point of my response is that I don't really have anything to hate her with nor is she my least favorite. In general I actually do like her because of her honesty, determination, and beauty.

Kikyo along with naraku are the most complex characters in inuyasha, we can't judge their motives and true intentions just 의해 one single action, and i suppose if 당신 take some time to really try understand everything, then 당신 will see, there is nothing to be hated from kikyo

Idk how old this post is, but I just finished InuYasha and I have a bone to pick. ANYONE who says Kikyo is bad in anyway is just wrong. Kikyo served her life helping others, and ONLY helping others. She fell in love, and died thinking the person she loved betrayed her. THEN she is resurrected and finds out InuYasha didn't betray her, BUT HE'S WITH ANOTHER WOMEN ALREADY. InuYasha told her he loved her so much, but apparently not enough to leave Kagome after Kikyo came back, So OBVIOUSLY she's upset because the man she loves and thought loved her has clearly made his choice. Omg you're going to call her a 암캐, 암 캐 for being mad for a little while at all the travesties that happened to her? Even then she continued to only help people. She would've given her life to save anyone, and Songo was willing to kill Rin, a child, for a man she has known for a year. REALLLYY? Kikyo is the best person in this show PERIOD.

I really don't like her. I think she is selfish. But she is good at the same time.

Kikyo gets in the way of Kagome and Inuyasha. Kagame is simply 더 많이 likable.

1. Because she's evil
2. Because she tried to kill Kagome (twice)
3. Because she took the shards from Kagome and gave them to Naraku
4. She almost killed Inuyasha

Kikyo never trusted InuYasha, while InuYasha trusted her and loved her with his life! It took a single little game of the evil Naraku to pit her against the man she supposedly loved, whereas Kagome was able to thwart all of Naraku's schemes, and never for a moment did she mistrust 또는 hate InuYasha, even when Naraku was controlling her mind and body.

I don't 'hate' Kikyo. She annoys me, and not just because I like Kagome. She annoys me because after Kagome could have left her dead in the waterfall and keep 이누야사 to herself but she didn't she saved her. Kikyo didn't even thank her. 또는 how about the time Kagome almost died because of the dark priestess, Kikyo could of ended right there. She could have killed but she didn't. She said, "If 당신 hurt Inuysasha, I'll kill you." But Kagome's death would have hurt him too. She annoys me because she causes everyone a great amount of pain but that doesn't seem to bother her.
She is a excellent character however, I'll give her that. I just don't like her.

I blieve that the reason people hate kikyo is because it gets in the way of there Kagome and 이누야사 ship. But I think people fail to release is that kikyo is a amazing character in the 이누야사 story and here's my reason. Her character development is amazing think about when she go Resurrected she was stuck in a moment in time which she hated 이누야사 and wanted to kill him she didn't know anything else she didn't know Naraku plan everything she just knew that 이누야사 betrayed her okay I do admit that some of the things she did was cruel but the way she atoned was amazing slowly and slowly we saw her goin back to how she used to be until the climax where she did the ultimate sacrifice and gave Kagome Inuyasha

The reason I hate Kikyou isn't caused 의해 the 사랑 triangle. Kikyou is extremely problematic. She seems to have this "strong independent woman" vibe but tried to attack Kagome over a man, which, in my opinion, is really pathetic, especially when Kagome always forgave her. She also bothered me a lot in the first movie when she tried to justify pushing Kagome down the well 의해 saying she doesn't belong in that time period (even though we damn well know that it's because she wants Inuyasha) AND Then went to say that she herself doesn't belong because she's dead, which is so hypocritical. She also steals souls for no reason because she honestly didn't contribute too much to the fight. Kagome ends up being stronger. And she tried to drag 이누야사 to hell. I know she had a hard life but honestly in real life we don't give excuses like that when they try to hurt others. She also, while alive, wanted 이누야사 to change into a human, and while people say it's because a priestess couldn't be with a demon, a priestess couldn't be with a human either, so she was going to give up being a priestess and live as a regular girl anyways so it didn't matter if 이누야사 was human 또는 not. She just didn't want to accept him which is shitty. The list goes on. She was alright at the end but honestly she caused all of this because she didn't want to accept Inuyasha. She's not the worst person ever but she's definitely a really annoying character.

I'm just recently re-watching the series and I stumbled upon this 질문 when I was googling why won't 이누야사 just kill Kikyo. I 사랑 the idea of 별, 스타 crossed 연인들 and maybe that makes me bias towards Kikyo, but I also have reasons that others probably share to why I hate her. For starters I won't call her a bitch. She is however selfish and spiteful in my opinion and the one 코멘트 that got to me was someone saying Kagome will never understand Kikyo's pain. I know Naraku shit on Kikyo and Inuyasha's possible 사랑 life, but this does not explain why she became a cold hearted witch most of the show. She's tried to kill 이누야사 without hearing an explanation and even after she knows 이누야사 did nothing wrong she starts a war path against everyone like a wild demon. My opinion is Kikyo is a vessel full of hate and a narrow minded view of right and wrong with the world she came back to. I wish they didn't include her so much in the show because to be honest Sesshomaru was deeper and 더 많이 interesting than her. I get she was hurt, but she knew the circumstances eventually and still behaved like a hurt, jealous, child and I just couldn't connect with such a lame personality.

I Actually do Hate Kikyo with a burning passion. Its not just she tried to kill Kagome, and Inuyasha. 또는 even the relationship status thingy. Its just her attitude at it all. She acts calm, and she takes things into her own hands. And she curses others, such as Naraku and etc. But she uses souls from others to just to stay alive. It annoys the hell outta me. And also Inuyasha, Im having really a turn of 심장 because he cant choose, and its messing with me. I mean I do believe he would be better with Kagome, what would he do with a dried up pile of clay that uses the very souls he is trying/not trying but protecting anyway.

I'm late to the party but I'll give my opinion. I actually don't hate Kikyo at all but I feel like she shouldn't be there because it seems like she doesn't want to be back. I mean she killed the person who bought her back to "life". Another reason is because while she is a 사랑 interest she's dead and she needs souls to live in that clay body of hers and I've always believed that resurrecting the dead is a bad thing to do. on another note, why are so many people hating her because she "gets in the way", I don't ship often so I probably don't understand but 당신 should ship what 당신 want and not hate a character for "getting in the way" if it's a good character...

A complex side character who happens to be a deterrent to a nerd's OTP is bound to be hated. The reasons they claim she deserved the hate have been refuted over and over again, but they will be repeated til the end of time. That's just how things work with pretty much anything complex in life. Fiction is no exception.

I don't really understand why people hate her. I know that she is an obstacle between Kagome and InuYasha's 사랑 story, but I don't find it reasonable enough because in traditional 사랑 stories, 사랑 삼각형 is an effective plot to make a nice story. Also, after watching the episode, "The Tragic 사랑 Song of Destiny", I instantly think that she does not deserve all the bashing from the franchise's fans, especially Kagome's 팬 (Note: I'm not a Kagome-hater) for she really has good intentions in the whole situation of taking care of the Shikon Jewel.

I don't really hate her. But I really dislike how she just assumed 이누야사 betrayed her. If she truly loved him, why did she believe so easily that 이누야사 could ever betray her. Where is her faith in him? For a priestess who's suppose to be pure of heart, she's quite the one to hold a grudge. And a grudge that isn't even justifiable too since she wasn't actually betrayed 의해 Inuyasha. It's quite a stupid mistake that she didn't sense that the one who betrayed her isn't the 사랑 of her life 이누야사 but another demon, Naraku. She's a very powerful priestess so wtf happened that day. She was revengeful even as the priestess that she even pinned 이누야사 to a 나무, 트리 to suffer for eternity, not allowing him to have a merciful death. Even if she believed 이누야사 tricked her, why would she, a priestess be of such immaturity that she just had to make him suffer for eternity (good thing Kagome came to pull out the arrow). Also, I don't think she ever truly accepted Inuyasha. I think that somewhere in her mind, she used him just to get out of her responsibilities as a priestess because 이누야사 is the one available and willing. She wanted 이누야사 to use the sacred jewel to be human. And for what? To get rid of the jewel and with it, her responsibilities to it. It's actually selfish when I think about it now. It was so sick and pathetic that even in her forced revival, she was a spiteful spirit who chose to continue living 의해 stealing other's souls just so she can complete her revenge. She is suppose to be this good, sensible, mature and responsible girl but I just saw her as an immature senseless girl who made a fool of herself. That's what's sad. She could have asked 이누야사 for an explanation (like how any normal person would) 또는 she could have gone to her little sister sooner after her revival to clear things up but nooo, she had to make everything dramatic and tried dragging 이누야사 to hell 의해 using his 사랑 for her again. Anyway, I think she got to her senses afterwards so I think she redeemed her character a bit. I say a bit because I don't think she really got over being tricked to death and getting the 사랑 of her life "stolen" 의해 another new girl who looks like her hence she still acts generally negative. I understand that she must have been very hurt but then, she also hurt 이누야사 and others a lot because of the things she did just because of a mistake in judgment. She should have stayed dead in the first place to avoid all the necessary drama, pain and regret. But I get that she needs to have some kind of closure because she deserves it, as well as and 더 많이 importantly to give closure to 이누야사 and be able to 옮기기 on and give his 심장 and true 사랑 to Kagome.

What I think is InuYasha doesn't deserve either Kagome 또는 Kikyo. True Kagome and Kikyo both do things all the same but InuYasha has feelings for both so if he's with Kikyo he won't forget about Kagome and vice versa. Kikyo is better than Kagome because she'd do anything for InuYasha and the Sacred Jewel. Kagome just stays in the feudal era to see InuYasha, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo.
