What's with the knee-jerk reaction against yaoi/BL/shounen-ai here?

I'm morbidly curious because I'm so used to Inazuma Eleven being associated with these things, that it came as a shock when many people reacted to 야오이 as if it murdered their only infant child.

So please select the option(s) that apply to you.
I hate/dislike 야오이 because...

1. OMG EEWWWW YAOI!!!!! DATS SO NASTEE HOW CULD ANY1 LIKE DAT ITZ NOT REEEL LUV U THINK IM GAY 또는 SUMTHIN?!?!?!?!
2. It's gay and gay=bad.
3. It's overrated. It's everywhere!
4. It doesn't make sense.
5. IE characters are straight.
6. It doesn't appeal to me.
7. It interferes with my pairing(s) of choice.
8. I don't have strong feelings either way.
9. I like yaoi, just not IE yaoi.
10.Other (please explain).

Are 당신 kidding?! I'm a HUGE 팬 of yaoi! Normal pairings may be 더 많이 acceptable and romantic, but gays have it hotter! Believe me!

To me, gay/yaoi/shounen-ai is acceptable! Hold nothing against it! Besides, everyone should respect others' preference!

If they have nothing to say, they should just zip their mouth shut.

Thanks for the response! And no, I wish I was kidding. Anyone who posts anything remotely gay is met with contempt. One of the 'favorite pairing' 포럼 topics forbid any 야오이 pairings from being posted. But putting that aside, I'd like to hear everyone's resonses, 야오이 팬 또는 non-fan notwithstanding.

I know what 당신 mean! It does feel a little strange pairing up characters from a children's show. But then I figured, it's too late, there's no use in trying to redeem myself now. All guilty feelings have been properly shoved to the back of my brain.

When I made a Pick here asking if anyone liked yaoi, and I got a LOT of negative answers. But there were some tame 답변 from non-yaoi fans. But one answer that really pissed me off was when someone said on the pick that "There should be no gay." (You know who 당신 fucking are!)

This is coming from a semi-yaoi fan.

But then again, a lot of people have been hating on yuri (but not here of course!), but I see nothing wrong with it.

Ah, I see. Well, Iook at it this way: whether they pair that character with a boy, 또는 whether they pair him with a girl, it's not like either of them are likely to happen in the actual series. They're just fantasies, as all pairings are, regardless of gender. I could understand if 당신 hated all 야오이 parings with your IE crush, but to hate ALL 야오이 with EVERY character? There's like a billion characters in this show. That would be a lot of hate, lol. Who is the the Inazuma boy 당신 have a crush on, if I may ask?

10! I really don't mind yaoi, as much as I like hetero pairings too, there's some 팬 out there that make the hetero pairings so...dislikeable...

So yeah, I was surprised too 의해 the such negative responses on choco's ask. Because in other sites the acceptance is huge! haha

I am a HUGE 야오이 fan. Personally, I find Inazuma Eleven a little... Full of Yaoi. No disrespect intended to those who REALLY hate Yaoi, but IE seems to have 야오이 at every corner. Hiroto's 'I'm in love, Endou-kun, with those eyes of yours!' is an example.

Also, IE tends to have some funny dialogue that can be misinterpreted, 'I like passionate guys' from Burn, 또는 'I never expected the ice-cool Gazel to express such an interest'. I'm just saying.
