It was called Hugh Laurie Joins ‘Veep’ Season 4: Will He Be Selina’s Vice President? | TVLine
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:

Fall Finales 2014: Exclusive Photos and Spoilers on 24 Midseason Climaxes
The two-time Golden Globe winner (and six-time Emmy nominee) was spotted filming a scene today by Baltimore Media Blog, and HBO has confirmed to TVLine that he’ll indeed appear in the Julia Louis-Dreyfus comedy when it returns with fresh episodes next year.
The show’s reps declined to offer details on Laurie’s character — but a source indicates the stint will be for multiple episodes.
Louis-Dreyfus’ character, Selina Meyer, became the leader of the free world at the end of Season 3, when the never-seen POTUS suddenly resigned to care for his ailing wife. At the time, the hapless Meyer was in the midst of a quickly sinking bid for her party’s presidential nomination.
While Baltimore Media Blog speculated that Laurie might be playing Meyer’s campaign manager, that role was already occupied in the Season 3 finale by Anna Chlumsky’s ambitious Amy.
Return Dates, Duplass Bros. Comedy Premiere
One role that wasn’t filled when we last saw Selina (and her very squeaky shoes) addressing the nation: A potential Biden to her Obama. And while Laurie’s British accent would have to be concealed (just like he did during his
days) in order for him to play her running-mate, a Louis-Drefyus/Laurie ticket would be potentially unstoppable — at least from a comedic standpoint.
Last month, AMC signed on as co-producer (along with BBC) of a six-to eight-episode event series adaptation of John le Carre’s
? What role do you envision him playing? Hit the comments with your thoughts!
I’ll watch Hugh Laurie in anything. Though not sure about the American accent – last time he tried it in Street Kings, he sounded like undercover House.
I would like to see Hugh Laurie try another American accent, but not go back to his Stuart Little / House voice, I would like to see his Veep character be from New England or from the South.
Sorry you are mistaken about Hugh Laurie winning 2 Emmys, he didn’t win any, but won 2 Golden Globes. I think that is what you meant to have put.
Correct! Meant to say Golden Globes. Brain just refuses to believe the perpetual Emmy snubbery.
Cool he’s been cast here though. He’s a good fit for the style of comedy.
Ahh! Sooo happy!…I’m already anticipating this…Hlaurie can do everything…
I’m there for Hugh no matter what he does. I think he could be another contender for the presidency, though. And maybe he’ll ask Selina to be Veep again. That would be funny.
I love that he’s doing a few episodes in a comedy, especially one as good as Veep. Perfect! He can have a lot of fun with that!
Your story is incorrect. The Baltimore Blog did not break this story nor is that their picture. The picture you posted of Hugh Laurie on set is the property of a crew member working on the set who tweeted the picture and then quickly deleted it. Baltimore Media found the story on Twitter. Just wanted us to be clear.
Ooooh! Hugh laurie is sure heating up the TV scene. I get to see him in two multi-episode, potentially in-depth characters…Christmas has come early!
