why someone ever hate OotP?its the 2nd Best in my opinion,and my 2nd favorite after DH.If have to choose which HP book I hate,I'll say none,even if someone buy me a country.But if it is the least liked,it'll be HBP.Why?I found it least exciting,too much... er..romance which makes its usual adventure filled-type book lost its theme A LITTLE BIT,too much Ginny[no offences],the Harry-Ginny relationship [again,NO offences],no REAL Voldemort,no MOCKING MALFOY,Bellatrix doesn't have a showdown in the end & most of all,the death of Albus Dumbledore.

Actually I think that the goblet of fire is the worst because it was too "dark" for me. I mean Voldemort coming back was creepy.... And the beginning was boring too.

Ah yeah, HBP is sad. But OOTP is my least favourite because I thought it was too long. I enjoy it, but it could have been shorter.

EDIT: I didn't see Shannon's comment, I agree the beginning was boring, when I re-read it I skipped that part. In school we were anaylzing gothic literature and I didn't recognise the passage from 'The Riddle House' I was so ashamed. XD

Chamber of Secrets is the only book that I had a hard time getting through and I'm not even sure why. It has many excellent elements to it but for some reason it didn't grip me the way the other books did.

OOTP was too long, I enjoyed it but it was just too long.

This one is quite boring.I never really enjoyed this.By the way my favourite is the second and the last book

Without a shadow of a doubt..."Deathly Hallows" JKR also KNOWS deep down in her heart that the book was BAD! That wasn't very nice of her to not even try with the last book. But I think that she was tried and just wanted the book to be done!

How can you say that, when "Deathly Hallows" pulled off things that shouldn't even have been possible! (It is also the author's favourite, although she knew ahead of time that it wouldn't suit everyone.)
Not only does this book tie up a thousand loose ends, it does so while making every tiny detail from the last 6 books fit into something important.
My personal favourite is the 3rd, but I have to admit that the 7th is the biggest literary achievement.

JK Rowling said Deathly Hallows was her favourite. It was amazing!!!

It explained so much, the best book by far.

dh was ok, but there wasn't enough hogwarts in it. it didn't really feel like harry potter. it was too dark and creepy for my liking.

I on the other hand think it is the best Hogwarts-centered series among the other HP novels because it has students rebellion against tyranny in it,my favorite school-story element.I enjoy reading about the D.A.,Fred & George's fireworks & swamp,students competing for the vacant Prime Troublemaker's seat,Umbridge itis & of course,the fight at the MoM,but I actually hate reading the last chapters of OotP,because I can't stop crying for Sirius..T^T

Chamber of secrets is the only one I dislike, and i dont really have a reason I just dont like it! LOL

But OOTP and POA are my favourite, they are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

In this book Harry annoyed me as hell. And Sirius died in the end. I don't have a problem when a book is long but this was just... I don't know...
Ok! I understand when everybody calls you a liar it could make you angry and hurt, but I think Harry overreacted everything.

By the way my favourite ones are HPB and DH. :)

I dont dislike any of them. I know Philosophers is the first one, but its just the one id rather not read out of all of them.

OR The Goblet of Fire, but its SO HARD to pick one cuz I honestly love all of them!!!! <3 Go HP!!! :D

I found it hard to stay obsorbed. In the fifth book I was so obsorbed that when I got up from the armchair in my room and I passed out, the first thing I was thinking was "Man, I'd sure like to punch out Umbridge, Umbridge Umbridge" Ya it was weird. In the second one I didnt even finish the first chapter when I put it down and started reading the seventh one.

Hate to not be orginal but the fifth book was too long before they got to Hogwarts. It didn't grasp my intrest firmly until then. and that was a good 3rd of the book

two words; Sirius Dies!

There weren't many happy moments in this book. it was very depressing.

ootp is my faveirote. anyways i dont really like prisonor of azkaban because it was kinda boring to me.

Just because I can never forgive JKR for the Deathday Party chapter. So boring.

It was just kind of boring to me. But still not for me to actually hate it.

I had problems reading the first 3/4 of it, it was slightly boring.

Don't get me wrong, I love OotP, but it is just my personal least favorite. There was too much Harry angst!
