I decided to write this 기사 because I have seen many 코멘트 lately that kind of bother me.

There are several picks in which this has come up, but the last one I have seen, and the reason why I am 글쓰기 this is the question: ¿Have 당신 completely changed your attitude towards a character after reading/watching their past stories? (or something along those lines)

link

It is a really interesting question, and what really caught my attention were the answers, the comments, especially since it wasn't the first time that I am 읽기 코멘트 like those.

The thing is that in that pick, James Potter is "winning". In other words, a lot of people say that after seeing what Harry saw on the Pensive (James and his 프렌즈 bullying Snape) they have now (and I quote) "lost all respect for him".
Another 인기 answer is that after seeing Snape's back story they now "think of him as a hero".

I can't help but notice that those 답변 are a bit biased. I don't mean this in a bad way I am just trying to understand why when James does it, he is HORRIBLE, but with Snape all is forgiven.

I mean their stories are identical, the only difference is that we learn about them backwards. With Snape FIRST we learn he is a bully and LATER we learn he is a Hero. While with James FIRST we learn he is a hero while LATER we learn he used to be a bully.

But in all honesty, can 읽기 about someone's past make 당신 change everything 당신 know about them so far? Is that fair? Has no one made mistakes? Of course these characters have made mistakes, that's what makes them so REAL, but that doesn't mean they are bad, 또는 that we can't respect them. They all have made bad choices in the past, yes... But so? WE ALL HAVE. No one here can say that haven't made any mistakes in their past, 또는 that they don't continue making mistakes on a DAILY BASIS. The important thing and what really counts is seeing how those characters were able to turn it around, were able to mature, to change, to make up for their mistakes. THAT is what really counts because that is the most difficult thing to do.

What I don't understand is why people are able to do that for Snape but not for James.
Let's see:

Snape was a bully. Worse than James in my opinion, because he used his position of power to bully those who are in a lower position, his students. As a grown man he bullied kids, and pretty bad. He wasn't nice anyone who wasn't Slytherin, and he was specifically mean to those who needed a bit 더 많이 time to learn like Neville. Yes, he was a bully... He was once a follower of Voldemort, he loved the dark arts and all of that. BUT he was able to love, he loved Lily and that saved him. His 사랑 turned him into a hero because after seeing what Voldemort did to her he became Dumbledore's spy, he worked to bring Voldemort down and he GAVE HIS LIFE for that cause, to protect Harry. He became a hero.

From the 코멘트 it is 안전한, 안전 to assume that everyone agrees with me on that point, we are all able to overlook Snape's mistakes (which were many) and see him as a hero.

So my 질문 is why can't people do that for James? Why are people suddenly saying they "lost all respect" for him just 의해 learning that he made mistakes in the past? IT'S THE SAME STORY AS SNAPE. Let's go back again:

James and his 프렌즈 bullied Snape when they were young. They were teenagers, immature, stupid, and they bullied someone who was different from them. However, James changed. He fell in 사랑 with Lily and she fell in 사랑 with him because he changed. He matured, he joined the Order of the Phoenix in order to fight against Voldemort, to fight against a dark and unfair world. He GAVE HIS LIFE for that mission, he gave his life trying to save his wife and his son, he gave his life because he LOVED them. That makes him a hero too.

또는 are we able to overlook Snape's past mistakes but not James'?? Is that fair?

All I want to get out of this 기사 is for people to try and think about it more. Try to look past how much they 사랑 Snape's character, and see the big picture. "Harry Potter" is about embracing past mistakes, and being a better person for them. That's what James did, that's what Snape did, that's what Dumbledore did, and that's what basically ALL the characters did. It's not fair to judge James for what he did when he was a kid and say 당신 "lost all respect for him" because HE WAS a hero too. And in my opinion NO story about anyone's past should change your opinion of who they were later, of who they are now, because mistakes don't define a person. We all make them.

I hope we can all see that, and stop all the James hate that is seriously unjustified...

To my fellow Gryffindor's

Hey! So even though Gryffindor was a very 인기 house in the 영화 and books, in real life most of the people aren't in Gryffindor. I don't know why that counts cool, but they wanna be "different" 또는 choose Draco's side, Slytherin because they have a crush on him 또는 somehow obsessed with him ( trust me, all the teenage girls I met are,)

As a Gryffindor, I sometimes feel very left out. 당신 can always find a Ravenclaw, Slytherin 또는 Hufflepuff out there but only the 1 percent is Gryffindor. However, I learned to be proud of my house. I really am. If you're in Gryffindor,...

Hey! I'm back to 글쓰기 after a small break. This time, I'm focusing on fandom shipping.

So the half of the 기사 that I wrote in this club are about shipping. I ship Hermione and Harry, like Hermione and Ron a bit, and find Ginny bad about relationships. I also remember I wrote about Albus X Minerva, and I said they won't work out. Okay, if 당신 have noticed this is all about the hero shipping. What about the villains? They can have a 사랑 life too. If 당신 know me, 당신 know I mostly hate villains. But people ship Bella and Voldemort together so much, that I had to share my opinion on it....

Weasley's are a very big family that take part in the movie, so I decided to write their family down. Enjoy <3

Arthur Weasley is the father in the family. He likes muggles and muggle stuff. Works in the Ministry of Magic, Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office.

Molly Weasley is Arthur's wife, the mom in the family. Loves helping people, looks and cares after her children and sometimes struggles because they aren't financially in a good situation. Treats Harry so good.

Bill Weasley is the oldest child of the couple, graduated Hogwarts. After this, he went to Egypt and worked for Gringotts as a curse-breaker...

There is a 인기 theory among non-Harry/Ginny-fans that Harry only fell for Ginny as a result of her giving him a 사랑 potion. They claim that Harry's feelings developed too suddenly to be natural and that Ginny was obsessed and desperate enough to do this in order to win Harry. They also claim that the prevalence of 사랑 potions and potions in general within Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince hints that a 사랑 potion was used. The theory is particular 인기 among film-only fans.

The first problem with this theory is that Harry's behaviour doesn't match that of the only other example...
