As all the societies and countries do, the English magic community has it's own governmental center, the Ministry of Magic.

The Ministry of Magic is composed 의해 many parts and sectors. Some of them are

•the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes (the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, the Obliviator Headquarters and the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee),
•the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures (the Beast Division, the Being Division, the Spirit Division, the Goblin Liaison Office and Centaur Liaison Office)
•the Department of International Magical Cooperation (the headquarters of the International Magical Trading Standards Body, the International Magical Office of Law and the British seats of the International Confederation
of Wizards)
•the Department of Magical Transportation (the Floo Network Authority, the 비, 빗자루 Regulatory Control, the Portkey Office and the Apparition Test Centre)
•the Department of Magical Games and Sports (the British and Irish Quidditch League Headquarters, Official Gobstones Club, the Ludicrous Patents Office a.o.)
•the Department of Mysteries (Entrance Room, Thought Chamber, 우주 Chamber, Death Chamber, Time Chamber, Hall of Prophecy, the Ever-Locked Room a.o.)

Many ministers have passed from the ministry of magic. The most recent are

* Viola Coville (1977-1981)
* Millicent Bagnold (1981-1990)
* Cornelius 퍼지 (1990-1996)
* Rufus Scrimgeour (1996-1997)
* Pius Thicknesse (under Imperius Curse) (1997-1998)
* Kingsley Shacklebolt (1998-present)

An other subject relevant to it, is the relationship between the british Muggle's and Wizard's Ministry. As we know from the sixth Harry Potter book, only the British Prime Minister is aware of its existence. The ministers talk together only when a new one is elected and in times of danger.
