Que:2. 5 Points to your house at Hogwarts if 당신 could answer any of these 질문

2: why does Harry wear glasses?
Magic is pretty cool and if they've got spells to do
everything from mend his repeatedly broken glasses to
healing people of all sorts of magical maladies, how
come there's no spell for sorting out your eyesight?

There are not spells 또는 potions for permanent cure of every disease and impairment.
It's like the Muggle world; some illnesses got medicine and treatment, others not yet.

Rowling said to make Harry seem 더 많이 weak with bad eyesight.
Have 당신 noticed that no one else at Hogwarts (not counting teachers) wears glasses?
I think this is right.

This was Rowling's intention indeed, but I think this doesn't answer the specific question... Percy Weasley did wear glasses in the 책 의해 the way.

Well, that's an excellent 질문 right there... there may be a variety of reasons for that, but honestly these don't cut the mustard because there could ALSO be a way of hiding them, so...

1. Harry has wizard parents, but since muggles are taking care of him, it may not be the best idea since they would definitely notice it if he didn't have to wear glasses! Of course, he could always just wear no-lenses...............

2. I guess Dumbeldore just wants 당신 to go have lasic done x3

3. Now that I think about it, I don't see too many wizards/witches with glasses... Moaning Myrtle may be the only other one. Not Ron, Hermione, Malfoy... not even Neville. Snape, Gandalf... okay, enough professors have them, but students wise nah... maybe they just didn't bother with it, although that's strange considering that there are plenty of professors that had to deal with it as kids, you'd think they'd of thought of something.... lol

So, long story short, good point XD

Perhaps magic can't heal any genetic condition 또는 anything a person is born with. James Potter I also had glasses, didn't he? I can't think of any other example of a genetic weakness/deficiency in the story to support the idea, though.

Also, you'd think they'd focus magical healing research on 더 많이 serious illnesses, conditions and injuries. They haven't gotten round to finding a spell 또는 potion for nearsightedness 또는 longsightedness yet.
