ya the character is. jkr decided he would be gay b4 the 5th book came out. she mentions it in many utube videos, im sure 당신 could find it onliine. If u want specific links, just comment!

btw: in one part of the movie script (i think it was in HBP) the scriptwriter made it seems as though dumbledore was in 사랑 with some woman. jkr scribbled "DUMBLEDORE IS GAY!" on the script and handed it right back 2 the scriptwriter. Also, jkr mentions that dumbledore had a crush on grindelwald as a child.

While some people have asked the question, and many 더 많이 have answered, the 질문 isn't as simple as that.

While Plot elements are scattered throughout the book of Dumbledore and relationships with same gendered individuals, there are those who believe that the gay references are no 더 많이 then J.K.R's attempts to up her sales 의해 appealing to a larger crowd. This can be argued that gay material can be a delicate subject to some people, and this would only detract fans, however keep in mind, the majority of people who chose not to adopt homosexuality are Christians, and while a insignificant point, the said minority are also hard pressed to adopt the world of wizards as well.

Some say she planed it from the start. Dumbledore would not announce it after all, since with his age, only 70 years 이전 from harry potter time, gays were treated much how we treat beastuality in modern day, and old habits die hard.

Popularity tactic, 또는 subtle story input. 당신 be the judge.

Yes, he is. When he was seventeen he fell in 사랑 with Gellert Grindelwald, but nothing ever happened between them, Grindelwald went on to try to take over the world, Dumbledore stopped him and never fell in 사랑 anyone again.

Yes, it's tragic, especially since he spent the rest of his life promoting 사랑 and it's power.

Yes, Albus Dumbledore was gay, and in 사랑 with Gellert Grindelwald. JK Rowling confirmed it in an interview years ago.

Personally, I thought it was obvious enough just 읽기 the book. I like the depth it adds to his character and that relationship.
